Well I am a little behind in posting such news, my better half wanted to make sure all of her important friends on FB knew before we posted our news on Facebook, but I have a lot of friends here on the TMF that do not have me listed on Facebook.
So anyway....the great news is that on 10/29 I proposed to my wonderful girlfriend, RobsLadyAce on the forum...and she accepted. I am now engaged to be married, we are looking at Spring 2013.
I have had many wonderful people here in the forum support and help me through some rough times over the past 5-7 years after the break up of my first marriage, what I have now would not be possible without their help, kind words and smiles.
A lot has happened to me over the past year, and more will continue to. I may not be as active as I once was, but I forever will be a member of this community.
To everyone, NEVER STOP LOOKING FOR LOVE. You will find it. It may seem at times useless and like it is never going to happen, but I found mine when I had already given up, and had accepted the idea of never having a "relationship" again. I was online looking around to cure boredom.....and on a dating website (OK Cupid) I saw this woman that had a few things in her profile that got my attention. I figured, eh why not...and sent her a message. We have been together ever since.
It was the same for her as well, she had just about given up...when she noticed my message to her.
Sometimes when your not looking, the most wonderful things happen.
