[[ Little known and Useless Thursday ]]

Small update on the pill situation, before I continue on.

So, this morning [[around 10:40]], I took the xanax pill. I figured it might be able to provide me with the help I need until it's time for me to take my night-time pills.

Well, it's 3:04 PM and so far everything has been really great. =) -- I spent the morning with Spawn and also cleaning the entire house. Then after I took him to school, I made noodles to keep in the fridge until dinner time. Then I'll mix that with my mom's super-awesome-tastic spaghetti sauce.

I've been doing laundry and obsessing over bejewled blitz in between all of this. And also chatting with some epic peoples who have my heart [[:bubbleheart:]]

I've also started chatted with some new folks from around here also. I've seen them and read their posts and everything, but never really took the time to get to know them any better for whatever reason. -- So far it's been great, I see a ton of really good potential long term friendships and that makes me happy.

I don't think I have any cool news-stories for you guys. I have a few random odd-balls, but nothing that really gets the job done. I'll share them anyways for you all to enjoy. :)

  • This one's great. An 81 year old Man goes out to fetch the morning paper, gets lost and ends up taking a nine hour drive to another stand.
  • Click for the story.

  • When you were a kid, did your parents ever let you send off letters to Santa? You know what I mean, you wrote to the fat man in red about all the incredible things that you felt you deserved and then gleefully watch as your parents dropped the letter in the mail box? Perhaps some of you younger folks [[people my age and a little older]] might have gotten responses back. Lucky bastards! Well, that was the brain-child of the US Postal Service. They created "Operation Santa" in 1954. And now, it will be no more.
  • Read here for why.

  • Ahh Eggo Waffles. The pinnacle of many breakfasts since the 70's. The popular breakfast food has evolved many times over since then. My son used to be obsessed with those strawberry filled ones. Me? I was a blueberry Eggo-er since word go. :D Anyways, seems there will be a shortage of many Eggo products from now until mid 2010.

I think that about wraps up my little news-worthies. I hope you enjoyed them. :D

Onward..

So, I'm not a big fan of watching youtube videos, or any video really. Any one who knows me will tell you, if it's longer then 60 seconds there is a 90% chance I won't watch it.

Granted, every once in awhile either I or my friends land on a gem that manages to hold my attention.

All credit for this following video goes to Jay. He sent it to Brent and I last night and it's just too cute not to share [[or watch!]]

I think I'm going to start another theme for this blog. It'll kind of be keeping the "vanilla" stuff seperare from the kinky stuff. I'll refer to all of my kinky stuff now as "prompts" and I'll post the vanilla stuff as "fodder".

As I have already done a prompt post and probably will again on Friday for Freaky Friday, I will share some Q and A Fodders with you. Feel free to steal them and use them for your own blogs. I bet some of these would make great thread discussions too.

Fodder:

Q: What fashion trend you followed was very cool then, but now looks ridiculous?

A: I was lucky [?] enough to have been old enough for the acid-wash era. I had one pair of acid wash jeans and whenever I wore them I thought I was BA. You got it. My first bike ever was pink and white and it had a little basket with blue, yellow and purple flowers on the front. Well, whenever I would put those pants on and ride my bike, I used to think I was this insanely cool person. I cringe looking back on it now.

Ha! I just went to search for an ace image example to post and lookie look what I find. A double negative that makes NO positive. Ever:

That's right. There's fucking fringe on that vest. ARGGGG!! :banghead:

See what I mean? That's why shit like that needs to just stay in the 70's and 80's. Point Proven. Case Closed.

Q: What is the best kitchen gadget that you own that you can’t live without?

A: Honestly, I'd have to say my toaster. I've been on a huge toasted peanut butter and jelly kick. A close second would definitely be my microwave.

Q: What was the catalyst for the time when you REALLY went over the edge temper-wise?

A: I've *really* gone over the edge temper-wise a bunch of times. But one of them I'll say is when a POS ran his mouth to everyone about a personal, personal situation of mine.

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up and why?

A: The same thing I want to be now, strangely. :) I've always and forever wanted to be one of two things; either a writer, or a psychologist. The reason for the writer was because I was constantly filling journals as a kid. I even had a "weekly newspaper" I used to type up for my family when I was about 8 or 9.

A psychologist because all my friends always came to me to talk about their problems. I was seen as "the shoulder" of the group I used to be a part of. To me, their problems seemed easily solved, but I understood that it doesn't always seem that way to the person having the issue. I think that's one thing that helped me a lot growing up, is acknowledging that.

Q: Define your musical tastes in 10 songs.

A: Aw, man. Okay this one is going to suck.. Let me see..

Now, remember, this is going to be my GENERAL tastes [[see: genre]] Not just band based.

Q: Which is worse? Poor manners or poor grammar? Why?

A: Poor manners. Because grammar seems to be interpreted in so many different ways. In my opinion, it's personality based. Manners aren't so much. Majority of people will have an issue with you picking your nose at the dinner table, or chewing like a slob.

Q: Which is more important, intelligence or common sense?

A: Common sense. Some of the smartest people I know are also some of the dumbest people I know.

Q: What is more difficult for you; looking into someone’s eyes when you are telling someone how you feel, or looking into someone’s eyes when they are telling you how they feel?

A: I'd probably go with having a hard time looking into someone else's eyes when they are telling me something like that. -- I naturally try to avoid compliments or things like that and when i'm confronted with a situation like that, I tend to get all nervous and fidgety.

f2db7a18df082464.jpg

It looks like something ate her neck.

Q: Is revenge sometimes justified?

A: I believe so. But then it'd be hypocritical of me to get pissed if someone extracts revenge onto me. No loophole there, damnit. :sowrong:

Q: What is your quirkiest habit and how long have you had it?

A: I never realize I'm doing it until it's pointed out, but apparently when I'm thinking hard enough about something or upset about something, I have a tendency to stick my lower lip out. It's not really prominent unless you're really looking for it. But my mom has been picking on me about it for as long as I can remember. It's funny too, because my son does it also. :D

Q: What's the longest you've gone without sleep?

A: The first week Daniel and I were home from the hospital, I went a full week and change averaging roughly four hours a day. Now, this is after delivery and "recovery". I Would Not sleep at all at night. And I mean, not even for 15 minutes. My head was so fucked up from the whole ordeal that I had somehow convinced myself that it was "bad" if I slept when Daniel did. My mom would be there every morning around 7-8am and on the last day of that run I remember opening the apartment door absolutely sobbing, telling her I just couldn't do it anymore. A week later I was diagnosed with PPD and was put on anti-depressants. I'll never forget that whole ordeal.

Okay, I'm all fodder'd out for the evening. And at the rate I'm going, my Useless Thursday will be bleeding into my Freaky Fet Friday and I've gotta save some energy for my kink questions. :dom:

Before I post my musical epic-ness, I will explain why I happened to choose this particular song.

So, I had to save this blog to a draft because Daniel's father called and asked for me to bring him over to the house. So I did.

Well, while I was there, he and I basically had another negative interaction and I left the house and drove home just feeling shitty over-all.

Not even half-way into the drive home, this song came on and it really struck a chord with me. I'm not entirely sure why, perhaps the chorus is what did it for me. But I hope you enjoy as I did. :)

Until next time. :redheart:
