This is a model of a what if,or hypothetical Sherman tank from W.W.2 It's called an M4A2E8 90mm M4A2 was the diesel engine Sherman The E8 stands for the wider tracks and suspension part There were some M4A2E8's armed with a 76mm cannon built Those were for lend lease Allies
I am putting on a 90mm gun turret from the M26 Pershing tank onto mine The Pershing was a late US tank entry during the war I still feel the Sherman tank should have been armed with a bigger cannon
How would you feel if you saw your tank cannon shells bouncing off of enemy tanks?
There are quite a lot of different makers going into this kit Academy from South Korea,Tamiya from Japan Some resin pieces are from Tank Workshop,and Formations Models out of the USA
You will notice some metal bits They are from a photo etched set from Eduard out of the Czech Republic They replace the thicker plastic bits and make them more to scale
