So, I started watching hockey after I met my husband who was already a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Being a pure Canadian, hockey is naturally already in my blood, so this is just one thing that my husband awakened in me – and now I too am a fan – love ‘em or hate ‘em!
I’ve never given much thought to the actual players on a personal level at all – as in whether or not I thought any of them were attractive or not. I’ve never fantasized about any of them let alone anything to do with tickling. Those boys are at least ten years younger than me anyway – I’m into the older men. So, I was quite surprised to have a dream like this – awhile back, mind you, as this goes way back to the days when Mats Sundin was captain of the Leafs.
The dream begins with me entering an apartment-like complex – more like a dormitory even. As I began climbing the stairs into the dorm rooms, I could already hear loud rough-housing sounds coming from upstairs. It was noise coming from the Leaf team members horse-playing in the rooms. They were laughing, shouting, and taunting each other – all very loud. As soon as I reached the top of the stairs, I was already in their living space. The kitchen was right in front of me, and to my immediate left was a bedroom with two double beds and such in it. Beside the kitchen in an open-concept space was the living room and down the narrow hallway were more bedrooms and at least one bathroom, I would assume.
So anyway, as soon as I reached the top of the stairs and was standing in their residence, one of the guys came tumbling out of one of the bedrooms, apparently having been shoved out during their horse play. There was lots of laughing. A couple of the players noticed me then, and acted as though this was a common occurrence – me visiting them – or whatever the hell it was I was doing there. One of the guys standing in the living room with a beer in his hand shouted down the hallway, “Ohh, Sundi-in! We’ve got company!”
As soon as I heard that, I bolted into the bedroom off to my left, dashed to the farthest side of the room and hid between one of the beds and the wall with a large window. I waited for just a few moments, and when I peeked my head above the bed to see what was going on, there was the huge frame of Mats Sundin filling the doorway and with that pearly white grin of his spread well across his face. I’ll never forget that look!
The next thing I remember, I’m lying on the bed with my leg held high above my head, my foot was bare and my ankle was grasped firmly in Mats’ large hand as he stood beside the bed. He was tickling my foot! I was rolling and squirming around on the bed, unable to contain the laughter.
There were several other guys in the room as well; drinking beer, but only a couple were paying attention.
And then I woke up...it was an amusing dream – one of my top tickle dreams, but it still doesn’t change my views of the Leaf team members – they’re still just hockey players playing the game.
