Weekend!

Well, having worked for 11 days in a row (two of which were double shifts), it'll be nice to get away for the weekend a bit. My friends and I are hitting NYC to see Will Ferrell on stage in "You're Welcome, America. A Final Night with George W. Bush."

It sounds like a riot, and apparently there was a bit of a stir a few days ago at the performance, unexpectedly highlighting Ferrell's improv skills. I'm amped. I've been cooped up waaayy too long, and haven't gotten to NYC in much, much longer.

Thankfully, my sinus infection's subsided and my voice is back with fair consistency, so I need no longer be mistaken for Herbert from "Family Guy" on the phone... 🙂

And finally, I got out to Barnes & Noble to make good on some bonuses I'd earned at work... I think of myself just as a reliable, competent worker, but it seems those are in short supply(?)... In any event, for my efforts, I'd accumulated a few bonuses which I asked for in the form of B&N cards to feed my book and periodical addiction... Tonight's haul:

"Currency Trading for Dummies" -- okay, yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking... The "for Dummies" books are tripe. But #1.) I have virtually no knowledge of the subject, have to start somewhere, and want to be well-studied and competent by August, and #2.) the Amazon.com reviews for this are pretty strong, so I hope it'll provide a good base from which I can build gradually before I take on the FOREX.

"The Sociopath Next Door" -- did you know that one out of 25 people has no conscience? How many do you know, and would you know a sociopath if you ran into one? National Bestseller, and very intriguing.

And my cheapies from the Bargain Books section:

"The Tibetan Book of The Dead" -- been needing a copy for a while. Illustrated.

"The Quotable Founding Fathers" -- for any patriot and and lover of quotations, this one has the big names like Paine, Adams, Jefferson and Penn, and goes a little more obscure... Michel Guillaume Jean De Crévecoeur, anyone?

And I've still got about ten bucks left on my card... Damn, I'm good... 😀

Anywho, I must get to drawing, so peace out, my people!

People are stupid and suck, and deserve to be treated with caution at all times. Just do what I've learned to do, and think of yourself as superior to them for it. 😀
