Good morning,
This is actually kind of a pain just to let you know up front, but if you're just dying to have a MySpace-ish Playlist Player on your Member Profile, this works. :super_hap
PLEASE NOTE!!!
This is an optional function of the site which is using Playlist.com's player to play your songs. The signup *is* free, but they serve advertisements on their site that will try to get you to enter your phone number for ringtones. This is how they make their money. DO NOT enter your phone number if you're not interested in their ringtone service. USE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION!
VIDEO TUTORIAL ALTERNATIVE!!!
the_jimmy_james has posted an alternative instructional method with a step-by-step video session of a playlist being setup. CLICK HERE to go view it.
Step One (Register a Playlist.com Account):
Fire up a new browser and head over to Playlist.com and register a free account assuming you're not a member already.
Step Two (Create your playlist):
Create a playlist by searching for song titles or artists and add the results to your playlist on their site. Please make note of the title you give your playlist.
Step Three (Getting the code):
After you get your playlist together click their "My Playlists" link at the top of that site. On the right-hand side click the 3rd link down from the Quick Links list that says, "Put your playlist on MySpace."
We're not going to click the MySpace logo. Instead, from here we're going to choose Option E and on the next page go ahead and leave the options default as they appear. You may play around if you'd like, but it hasn't been tested yet...
Click the GET CODE button and you'll see a whole box of code like this:
What we want is the playlist ID which I highlighted in bold in my example. My recommendation is to paste this into a text editor and search for "loadplaylist.php?" and grab the code immediately after it so it just looks something like this:
Step Four (Home Stretch):
Head back over to the TickleTheater web site and go into your User CP > Edit Details section. Scroll down to the bottom and paste the "playlist=58343250&t=1233662535" into the Playlist.com ID Field, and then choose a color from the choices listed there.
That's it! Your playlist should now appear directly under your Mini Stats box on your member profile page.
If you have any trouble let me know...
