We all know everyone`s favorite NFL team is the Cowboys; ...

The Cowboys use to be my favourite team; the Aikman, Smith, Irvin era. Then my interest in the NFL stopped............wondering the earth for what seemed like an eternity looking for a sign looking for a place to call home - I found one; RAIDER NATION. They took me in from the cold and offered a team that I could relate to.

I been a Raider fan about 9 years now and will never change, but saying that I always had a soft spot for the 'Boys until they cut Quincy Carter, that single move has turned me against them and now I hope they get a beat down every week.

Let me get this straight, you were a Cowboys fan with the Triplets. But when they released Aikman & Smith you were ok with that, but it bothered you when they cut Carter?No offense, that doesn`t make alot of sense.

Al Davis did alot for the NFL, Davis & Jones were visionaries for the sport.
 
What I am saying is there wasn't much (if any) NFL coverage in Australia in the early 90's and what there was it had a lot to do with the Cowboys and because I am a big fan of the sport I became a big of the them, then when the 'little' NFL craze in Australia stopped I had no means of following up on the Cowboys or the NFL.

That changed in around 1998 -1999 when I got the Internet and Australian pay TV started showing games once a week; then the 1st game I saw was a Raider game and just how Charles Woodson did his introduction caught my attention, so I went for the Cowboys in the NFC and the Raiders in the AFC.

I never knew a lot about the Cowboys in triplet era as I did when Q.C was in charge so thats why I took that more to heart.

That works for me.Those in Dallas{like myself} will defend our Cowboys all the way.If you are born in Dallas/Fort Worth area, then you are a Cowboys fan from birth!!!!!!!!!

Life-long Buffalo Bills backer (laugh at and/or pity me all you will), praying that Ralph Wilson won't move them to L.A. And sorry, but I could never be a fan of the team that handed the Bills the last two of their four consecutive Super Bowl losses, the first in a most humiliating fashion.
 
The Dallas Cowboys are the only team that matters. PERIOD.

well if you must know my second favorite football team are the KC Chiefs...however! Dallas is not my favorite team, it's the SanFran 49ers, but too be nice, I will let you know that my third fave team is the Dallas Cowboys.

Any moron can get behind a team that wins. That is why there are a lot of Cowgirl fans, 49ers fans and of course Steelers fans. It takes a lot of heart for Irishgirl ( and it is not a lack of judgement as you call it ) to be an Eagles fan. Bless Irishgirl's heart for being an Eagles fan.

Yes there are many who are bandwagon jumpers who like to back a proven winner such as the COWBOYS or Yankees or the Red wings; happens in every sport

Just like you are a Jets fan because you are originally from New York.If you looked closely I am from the Dallas/Fort Worth area so it makes sense I am Cowboys fan!And your biggest problem is you follow a proven doormatt of the NFL and the Cowboys winning history eats away at you!!!!!!hahahahahaha

Please by you having TO now you guys are going down hill, The Cowboys are trash. TO is not going to help you win anythng but a last place finish. As for Shocky he is going to have a break out year you just watch. and Manning will be fine. It was his first full season with Big Blue. He will do better

Hardly!!! Like I said earlier, it takes heart to root on a team that doesn't always win. The fact that you root on the Cowgirls does faze me in the slightest. Besides ( since we are talking history here ) correct me if I am wrong but didn't you last win a Super Bowl in 1995??? I would say your history of winning has run into a roadblock. You can have them. I will root on my team with PRIDE!!!

Don`t give me that... So by your logic if your local professional team is successful ,then you are saying to find another team to root for .

Well 1995 is a heck of a lot better than when your team has even sniffed at a superbowl.Be a Cowboys hater; success always breeds contempt & jealousy .

And your point about rooting for a team that doesn`t always win. I have also been a lifelong Texas Rangers fan and they are about as succesful as your Jets. I have had season tickets for years, so that kind of blows your point out of the water; so to speak.
