Angel_2 said:Well look our D just got flat out beat in that game, but this year we got better we still have Strahan,Umenyiora,Pierce and we got Arrington so I think our D will be fine
Angel_2 said:yeah but you know Coughlin will have none of that on his team
I agree, I don't like the way he runs things. Parcells is not bad but I think you guys need a new head coachFlockOfSeagulls said:He is just like Parcells in that he says he has one set of rules for everyone. But that is a crock; most coaches have let star players slide as long as they produce on the field.

I don't understand why he feels he has anything left, He was done long ago, ITS OVER BILL GO HOMEFlockOfSeagulls said:I agree with you 1,000,000% . The game has passed him bye!
I think he could end up hurting your teamAngel_2 said:I don't understand why he feels he has anything left, He was done long ago, ITS OVER BILL GO HOMEI think he could end up hurting your team
Don't even get me started on LaRussa and Knight. All of them are or should be done. Each game has passed them by. Parcells need to just bow out and let someone that know what he is doing make the callsFlockOfSeagulls said:He knows this is his last coaching gig. And it his all about his EGO. Look at his close friends ;Bobby Knight & Tony LaRussa. There motto is I know everything and everybody know nothing! They are egomaniacs X 10
Yeah but IMO I think you guys brought in the wrong big name coachFlockOfSeagulls said:our owner proved his point by bringing in the Big name coach. Our local media said that a proven coach would never come here and he showed them they were mistaken
german said:I dont think the game has passed him by.......I think you can't lose a good football mind; look at John Madden for example.
But I think the problem is his ego; he killed the Cowboys when he cut Q.C before training camp and traded Bryant - unquestioned leaders of that offense.
The facts speak for themselves; its no doubt that it was the defense that carried the cowboys to the playoffs that season but Q.C threw for I think the 2nd or 3rd largest season total of any cowboys QB (that is a pretty big club to be in) and he had nothing, no primary target (Bryant was injured for most part) and no running game.....those numbers must count for something - but it was obvious that Parcells never liked him - hey he drafted baseball players to replace him, so when he had an 'excuse' he cut him and put the 100 year old in to play.
That season as a back up for the jets he won as many games as the cowboys did when Chad got injured. Q.C dont get me wrong isn't the best QB ever to play - far from it to be honest, but he was the best they had and parcels but his ego in front of the team and well just look at history, haven't reached the play-offs since.
The cowboys and Raiders are much the same, they have for to long brought in old free agent QB's when they should have invested a high top pick for a QB to build around - I love 'Huff daddy' but deep down I think they should of drafted Lienart.

german said:True true Flock, but seriously who were the offensive leaders?
In Parcells own words, Quincy Carter was driving the bus.
Anyway I think the cowboys will make the playoffs this year as a wild card, I still like the 'Skins to win the east.

german said:Hmm maybe the off field problems were that serious; thats a shame.
What the news on Julius Jones, I like him a lot. It almost looked like Parcells ego was again causing problems by trying to trade him?

german said:OK fair enough, from down here it seemed like he was up for trade. He is a nice solid inside runner.
I guess now it all comes down to training camp...

german said:I think the talk is that he wanted to go either to Atlanta or Baltimore ahead of Oakland last season when he got traded and the story/report is just coming out now.
Like I dont know why; its not like they are in any better situation then Oakland was. Vick couldn't hit a brick wall in front of him and Boller well talk about floaters over the middle.
But there was a report that Jerry Porter isn't the happiest because coach Shell is making them work hard, thats prob the best news I heard for a long while coming out of Raider nation, about time they got someone beating there asses.
