As much as I hate using those terms, you know what I mean. Video games, comics , TV show, movies, books, zoetrope, anything other form of media. What do you like?

I've never had the problem with the terms everyone else seems to. The words only have as much power as we give them, after all, and, if we embrace them, those folks using them to say we're bad people don't have a leg to stand on for a reason other than the fact I cut it off.

To answer your question, yes, I consider myself a nerd or a geek.

I've built my own computer, routinely go to sci-fi and comic conventions, and hang out with people who understand what the Higg-Boson particle thingy is all about (I'll admit, I still don't understand it). However, that does not mean I'm either a nerd or a geek. I'm cool, my mom told me so.

My nerd specialty tends toward books of all kinds, collecting them and otherwise. Then there is the anime and manga knowledge, amongst other fangirl obsessions. On that note, though, Whovian's damned owl signature makes me fangirl if only for the fact they're owls. Just sayin'.

Yes, I'm a geek/nerd. Mine's from more of an academic standpoint but I enjoy video games and occasionally some of the "nerd media." If I won the lotto I'd spend a big chunk of change at thinkgeek.com
