    Sweden was not inspired in the round robin. :neenerneener: They only wanted to bide their time, and now they're about to settle this once and for all! I'm glad you're a fan of curling AND lop-sided blowouts, because you will have both when Sweden wins by... whatever scores you can win by in curling! :mwahaha: ...I admit, I am not a big fan of the sport. XD

    Haha, lazy Canadians! :neenerneener: I wouldn't mind Finland in the final though; it would be nice to see Scandinavia represented, but at the same time it wouldn't be a very exciting hockey game. 😉

    Well, I still say the age-gap between the young and the old players was too big. That's my official excuse! 😛 Alfredsson, Lidstrom, Forsberg, etc, aren't bad by any means, but their golden days have long since passed. Sad to see them go, since this was likely their last big international tournament... Us Swedes have been spoiled silly with talent during the last two decades, for such a small country. But at least they already got to win a best-on-best tournament together in 2006, so I'm content. 🙂

    I read the thread by the way, and... The CAPS shall have the cup, damn it! 😀 Then Backstrom is just one Olympic tournament away from being a member of the Triple Gold Club! ;D

    lol, thanks man. I was expecting a medal at the very least, but I guess Sweden is in the same position as Canada and the US was back in 2006: Too many old players and too few young players that have hit their prime (the only ones we have that fit the bill are the Sedins, and possibly Lundqvist, though I think he'll become even better). At least Forsberg finally got a point in this tournament, that is some small comfort, and I'll be even happier if we bounce back and win the World Championship in a couple of months.

    Watch out for us in 2014 though! 😀 And with all that said, let the trash talk continue! If it's laid-back and in jest I'm totally cool with it. 🙂 For what it's worth, I'll be rooting for Canada now. I could have rooted for Finland I guess, but eh, the tournament is played in Canada so they might as well win it! :canada: Hopefully you get to beat the US in the final, because there was some severe American homerism in the sports forum after the last CAN-USA game.
