Yes. Gathering. Definitely time for SoCal to get on that train.
I'll help organize a get-together. Let's get a list going. Whoever would like to receive emails regarding a Los Angeles TK party, send me a note at [email protected]. (Remember, I can also bcc you, if you like.)
Maybe we should start not with a party, but with a munch. A meet & greet. A daytime date at a cafe. Or maybe even a bistro. And then that night, whoever wanted to come to the party could.

Even people on this very thread who I emailed and pm'd... zilcho.
I don't know what the womenfolk in LA do about their TK thang, but my theory on the men is that they prefer to pay for their TK. I don't know why. Maybe the anonymity is more important to people in LA.
Well, if anyone cares to get together for a weekend brunch sometime -- it's the best way to start out -- please do drop me a line, and I'll gather everyone I can. I learned hosting from the Grand Master Flash himself, DVNC. I come with references from the best.

Tried to get a SoCal gathering for August, as you're aware, and hadda cancel for lack of attendance. The West Coast Gatherings area has a post from the host, and the resulting cancellation. There's potential for a munch in San D, as there was in LA, but clearly, LA seems t'have more folk.
If you folk EVER wanna actually MEET more of your own, y'gotta actually socialize. IRL. In Real Life. Get outta your 'burb and meet somewhere. Don't have t'be a gathering. Could be a munch. Munches are statistically more successful in LA than in the Siliconf Valley, FWIW.
There's so many of you, and so many excuses to visit LA (Disneyland alone is an easy one), that the locale could be a Mecca for 'our kind' if only folks there could get ONE location at which they'd meet. Even a 'dungeon' would work for such. Someone's gotta do the legwork t'verify the location and such.
Hopin' SoCal gets to where it can branch off to it's own event. Would LOVE to see that area get successful. It, like the UK, should have a major event, given the numbers. These responses show a fraction of those on the mailin' list for my LA event list.

Hopin' the noise in this fine thread is enough to scare up enough interest to get an event to gear. Too many folks thereabouts to NOT get together and meet. Folks just don't seem to dig that it's more than just findin' tickle-mates. There's actual friends to meet, and there just ain't anything like bein' able t'talk about our interest among friends.
I miss the West Coast Gatherings every month, knowin' that they used to be a constant for so long and now aren't, for me. I hope y'all get 'em back to seasonal soon. Monthlies were my mad notion, and few sane folks would try such again, I figure. Only need to get SOMETHING regular, so that you folks can get to know one another. There's some very cool people down there, recallin' the gathering we did in that fancy hotel.
Don't forget, too, that LA is a Mecca of flash for most of the free world, folks. Whatever your scene, there's some of it there. Not many places that have more than you could possibly hit in a two-week vacation.
I'll be back to visit someday, Boom-daddy. Keep 'em alive for me t'see again, huh?

I'm glad to see the list growing. I would be interested in seeing how many people in So.Cal. would actually consider meeting somebody from this forum for real-life encounters. I would also like to know what your sexual preferences are in tickling. I am a male and I prefer m/f & f/m tickling. I would also like to try f/f/m & m/f/f someday but I am not getting my hopes too high.
