Okay, so this guy Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi, a senior Iranian cleric, recently claimed that immodestly dressed women cause earthquakes.

"Many women who do not dress modestly ... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes," Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying by Iranian media.

Silly, right?

In response, self-described "liberal, geeky, nerdy, scientific, perverted atheist feminist" blogger Jen McCreight sought to expose just how silly it was, by creating "Boobquake":

On Monday, April 26th, I will wear the most cleavage-showing shirt I own. Yes, the one usually reserved for a night on the town. I encourage other female skeptics to join me and embrace the supposed supernatural power of their breasts.

This just makes me think that either God has a sense of humor about this, and a twisted one, or perhaps more realistically, that the series of earth-shifting phenomenon that's been happening (earthquakes and volcanic eruptions) are part of the earth just doing its thing, due to gravitational pull, the moon, and the oceans, and all that stuff that's beyond my understanding, as our big ball of dirt and water gets hurled around in space without colliding with anything else, yet. I'm just grateful that we're all still here, for now! :scared:
