I thought it would be a good idea to create some tickling related memes for sites like pinterest that are actually cute or funny that could make tickling more mainstream and not weird...some have already been created. any other ideas?

If anything I'd like to see tickling stay clear of 'lol so random XD' meme crap entirely.
I partially think these folks making these types of threads want tickling to be mainstream so badly because they think that will make the mainstream scene create more tickling-related media or conversations or something similar. That's the only thing I can think of, at least, though I don't think it will work even if tickling did become a mainstream fetish by some miracle of nature.
There's that, but also, I read it as a desperate need for self-validation. As the OP suggests, they think their fetish is weird, hence by extension everyone else does, too. So, if tickling goes "mainstream" (whatever that means) then suddenly it won't be weird anymore and they can stop beating themselves up over having it.
Which is not true, of course. Anything sexual can be demonized. Just look at the act itself and how screwy people get over it.
