The storm is definitely gone. 😀 😛 BUT:

Cleaning up after it will take days or weeks. In some places near the shore, mud is waist deep on the roads. Some people have lots mud and/or salt water in their basements.

In some parts of New Jersey and Long Island, it will take years to rebuild the houses and businesses that were destroyed.

I understand it will take a long time to repair. I think the Cake Boss guy in Hoboken, New Jersey got hit real bad. He was hit bad with Irene too. 🙁

Yes, Hoboken was very hard hit; whole blocks of downtown Hoboken were under water. 🙁

Today I got mail delivery for the first time since the storm. The 19th century motto, "The mail must go through," is no longer honored. 😛

I heard they were gonna layoff some postal workers but the President got it delayed till after the election. LOL

Given the laziness and stupidity of the postal workers in my local post office, the more of them laid off, the better. 😀 😛

It takes the fools who work in the back of my local post office five to ten minutes to find a package that they have for me. That's with me bringing the notice of a package that their fellow employee wrote with me for them to look at. 😱

The DMV might be worse but I only have to visit them once every five years when my driver's license comes up for renewal. I have to go to the post office all too often.
