Tonite in the TMF Radio chatroom, it came to the attention of many of us that our own Crystal Light has been seriously deprived (depraved?). We threw out some classic movie titles and much to our dismay she had not seen .. well, most of them.

You will all be pleased to know that she has seen SpaceBalls..

However... among the titles she had never seen were:

* Blazing Saddles
* Princess Bride
* Monty Python's Holy Grail
* Goonies
* High Anxiety

And we won't even talk about Bruce Campbell movies!!

Yes, I know.. this is shocking stuff, and we will need to rectify it immediately! To make sure we don't miss any great classics.. what other titles do you consider a MUST SEE?

Crystal, feel free to jump in if someone mentions a title you have seen..

LOVE YA SWEETY *GRIN*

Has she seen...?

Die Hard!
Pretty Woman
Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (with Gene Wilder)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the movie)
Heavy Metal

Oh, and of course 'Legally Blonde' (I love that movie)

The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the original Star Wars triology, Aliens, Predator, Commando, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Donnie Darko, Death Sentence, Star Trek: First Contact, Freddy vs Jason, Superbad, Anchorman, Pulp Fiction, Terminator, Indiana Jones 1-4, Memento, The Matrix (just the first one), X-Men (also just the first one), A Nightmare on Elm Street...shall I go on?

I thought she said she hadn't seen Real Genius also, although I might me wrong. In either case I booked my plane ticket and will fly in to be with her in her time of need. Crystal, get a babysitter and we're staying up all next weekend until we get this situation resolved. :dogpile:

On the flip side, you are more than welcome to pm me your address and I'll be glad to foot the bill to have Amazon send these classics on DVD in an effort to help you relive the childhood you missed. :roflmao:

Here's a list of movies to watch:
Comedy:
  • The Wedding Singer
  • The Wedding Crashers
  • Balls of Fury
  • Coupling (The British Version...rent it...it's a series)

Action:
  • The Rock
  • Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
  • Hero

  • Gladiator
  • Shoot 'em Up
  • The Bourne Identity

Okay, here is my list.

Any Vincent Price movie.
The man did all the Edgar Allen Poe stories and he was a king of horror. Not this gory crap of today, but horror. He also did some hilarious comedy.

Mel Brooks movies.
He is so quotable, that you would not be able to stop.
The Producers (the original, even though he had a hand in both, Gene Wilder is the Man)
Space Balls
Young Frankinstein (Bluhah)
and several others

Lucky Number Slevin (you have to watch it once to understand how good it is)

Tombstone (yes, it is a western, but Val Kilmer is also the quotable part of this movie)

Top Secret (A comedy that makes you groan at the absurdity)

Silence of the Hams (another great comedy)

Kevin Smith movies
Dogma
Clerks (1 and 2)
Chasing Amy
and several others. The man is a pure genius, as bad as he is.

Wraith (Charlie Sheen when he truly cared about acting in a grade B horror cult classic)

The Joker is Wild (a great Frank Sinatra movie and you might just fall in love with old blue eyes)

This is the short list of mine. I am a major movie buff and historian. So, if there is a specific genre of movies you like, I can usually give you a rundown and little tidbits of history.
