It's more environmentally friendly (and far less smelly) to use PAM cooking spray instead of WD-40. I discovered this when I needed to grease my hamster's wheel (yes, I have a hamster). I read that it's better to use cooking spray, so he doesn't lick WD-40 and get sick. 😀
