Vegas bakes

Up to 112 here in Las Vegas yesterday. Today our humidity went way up. Kept the temperature down to 109 today, and this evening gave us a great thunderstorm! Only 0.1 inches of rain (typical for the desert), but the best lightning show in 3 years, and cooled us all the way down to 77 degrees! Of course, now it's 2 AM, and it's already back up to 84.

Bring on the rain!!

I know exactly what you mean, Dan. It's been hot as hell up here with no end in sight.

The days are pretty bad but the nights are unbearable. I just can't sleep in this kind of weather.

Its always the same with me. I bitch and complain because its too hot. I want it to be a lot cooler outside. Then it eventually will get cooler in a few months. Then I'll bitch and complain that its too cold. 🙄

Eh, people keep telling me how hot it is, but A) I get paid to splash around in my big giant kiddie pool and our goofy octopus sprinkler with my preschool kids all day, and B) when we're not outside we're under the air conditioner on full blast. Plus a ginormous thunderstorm just broke (it looks SO cool 😱 ) so it's kinda nice, dunno what all the fuss is about
