15 year old girl assaulted by police

I have a feeling with 8 years under his belt he is plenty tough, however I think the girl found out she isn't. What do you think happens when you shit on cops and hen kick your shoes at them. I don't think he should have hit her, but I'm fine with everything else they did. If her parents had slapped her when she got out of line with them, she probably wouldn't have gotten out of line with the cops.

8 years under his belt doesn't mean he's tough. Nor would 28 years. Tough has nothing to do with the job someone does. What the girl found out is that cop knew he had another cop with him, a billy club, mace, and a gun. So he went at her and put her head into the wall before BOTH of them sat on her to cuff her. After which he popped her in the head twice.

I fully agree if her parents had done their job as parents. She never would have kicked her shoe at him nor been in lock up to start with.

kis your cool thick headed in some areas but cool.. lmao ducks the emoticons lmao

We were doing so well......now I have to get you on track too!

:hipoke: :3poke: :punt: :slapfight:

Getting back to topic:

There's tons of blame to go around and no one's immune. She shouldn't have gotten herself jailed in the first place. Cop #1 didn't have to assault her and cop #2 didn't have to stand there and watch him beat up a 100 lb girl like a street thug.

Bad choices all around.

no ok I agree to disagree here your innocent till proven guilty . I'm sorry I don't know why they arrested her but to do what they didf makes me question what did she do or did you have a moment of abusive authority there to. kis think a bit I feel you will agree with me

I ask to keep this topic on tract. If you have a police question ask it in my other thread about police questions. this thread is about this incident

just...

kill him, off with his head, or at least lock him up and strip his badge.

Okay, seriously. While I agree wholly with the stripping badge statement. The killing one is a little extreme.

He kicked her ass. He didn't rape her.

Some would say that's enough to build a little character.

And if they did, I'd quickly stop listening to what they have to say.

When a state gives you the legal right to use violence, you are bound to use it as responsibly and sparingly as possible. Beating up a mouthy teenage girl to teach her a lesson is an outright abuse of power.

I'm not sure what you're saying.....care to elaborate?

I was being facetious.

ok why did they arrest her what did she do ? try to kill ? try to do drugs ? try to drink ? what did she do. Don't that make a little sence what did she do to get this some states are brutal
I was in one and left aberdeen is as corrupt as you can get

I'm not sure what she did but I would like to assume that cops don't arrest 100 lb teenage white girls for nothing. I'm not trying to turn this into a race thing because it's not the issue in this thread. But let's face facts that we don't even need to discuss. I have to be honest though; I was kinda' glad she is white so I don't have to deal with the Jackson/Sharpton show!:flatstare:

Whatever she did to get arrested she only made worse by not keeping her mouth shut then kicking a shoe at a man with a gun. Not a very bright idea IMO.

Always told my kids that if they ever had to deal with the police, they are to address them as "officer" and only speak when spoken to. It just doesn't pay to piss off the cops.

kis 123 may I pm you i have something to say I wish to remain a secret for now

Being a retired Police Officer I don't usually comment on police actions but this was outright wrong. I don't care what that girl did she should not have been beaten like that. Had that have been a father doing that he would have been locked up for child abuse. In my opinion this officer deserves no less this is Police Brutality and that officer should have been locked up. It's Officers like this that make it bad for the rest.

I really appreciate your insight on this. FYI, my father is a retired fire department lieutenant, so he naturally worked alongside the police on many occasions. I've met quite a number of them over the years and I have the utmost respect for what has to be a very difficult and thankless job at times. I believe that the vast majority of police officers are good people, wishing only to bring the bad guys to justice. I also believe that the majority of them aren't going to fly off the handle when a young, likely confused and emotional teenage girl gives them lip. You're 100% correct when you say that this guy was out of line for using the force he did against her. I hope he gets brought to justice like he should.

so do I I saw to much injustice in my life

You really do not get it. You remind me of the way PETA forms arguments by blowing things way out of proportion then applying those ridiculous ideas to an argument which has been made irrelevant by the liberties you took with the subject at hand.

Sorry, I was out the whole day and I just got back.

I'm pretty sure I got it. You didn't, same with many others, so I'll explain the joke. You see, I was making fun of all the people who were supporting the cops beating up the teenager simply for mouthing off and tossing the deadly shoe grenade at them. By making a ridiculously extreme comparison, one was supposed to realize the folly of supporting such an act. Some got the joke, some didn't. It's not funny if you have to explain it.
