Misanthropy usually develops when one puts complete trust in someone believing that they are absolutely true, sound, and reliable, and then a little later discovers the individual to be bad and unreliable, when this happens to someone often enough, they end up hating everyone.......

Well, the way I see it, there are two ways you can go about this.

You can A) Be distrustful of everyone you meet, take extra precautions and NOT get screwed over faster than a nude Megan Fox in a ghetto...

OR, you can be put your trust in the people you deem trustworthy, and hope to god that your amazing judgment can't POSSIBLY be wrong.

Now, I rarely see instances of people from group A turning into group B, however I see plenty of occasions where those naive and gullible group B folks get fucked up the ass by that co-worker who just seemed oh-so-genuine. Human judgment isn't infallible; there are people out there who are smarter and cleverer than you, and if you are part of group B, then you better hope that they don't decide that they want something from you. They can, and they will outwit you.

Now, that isn't to say that EVERY human being has some ulterior motive. Some of them really are genuine buddies of yours, and you're lucky to have those kind of people in your life. The gamble in this situation is determining the genuine's from the fakes. And unlike on here when you want to figure out if that girl is REALLY a girl, these people aren't complete retards, and will probably play the part pretty well.

Purps and Mash, You two must be the abolute life of the party and just be inundated with invitations. You remind me of the person that,s been married and divorced 6 times because they just keep picking the wrong person, never once stopping to think that it might be themselves that is the problem. It must be horrible to feel so intellectually superior to everyone else and in the same token be so emotionally and spiritually bankrupt.....and before we go down that road again, you don,t need to believe in God to be spiritual. Why don,t you try lending a helping hand once in a while or say a kind word to someone. Pick up a book and go to a sick childrens hospital and read to them, perhaps it will open your mind to see someone worse off than yourselves and that will not have the same opportunities that you have pissed away, instead of sitting on your perch, finding fault and sitting in judgement over everyone and everything, why don,t you climb down and get your hands dirty, throwing people all into the same category and making generalizations just doesn,t cut it.

It feels great to be intellectually superior. What doesn't feel great is knowing that I'm morally better than people such as yourself. It pains me to know that I base my value system on my love and compassion for humankind, and that you base yours off of an end reward.

FWIW, I donate blood whenever possible. My blood is infinitely more valuable than reading to some bald, half-stoned kids laying up in the hospital.

I was just blowing off a little steam, upset that only a few of my neighbors went outside to shovel snow. That said, the rest of it got plowed. And not a single prayer to god! U jelly, christian?

Yeah, my mother was scammed by her co-worker and had her real-estate license revoked, which eventually led to us losing our house.

The other one is an example that about any guy can relate to.
