I despised Loverboy. And a friend of mine at the time was a big Aldo Nova fan, though I certainly wasn't. Easy for me to confuse the two.

Not sure if this one is 80's or not, but I HATEHATEHATEHATE 'Love Hurts' from Nazereth. Reason being I had a friend in high school who broke up with his girl, then drove around in his car playing that song over and over and over. Finally, I told him if he played that song one more f'n time, I was gonna throw the tape out the window. He played it again, and out the window of the speeding car it went.
