a birthday from heck.

well, yesterday was my birthday. don't bother saying "happy belated birthday". i'm not interested in wishes i have to remind folks to give.
but be of good cheer, no one else gave me a card, nor a cake either.
for my "special birthday dinner" my wife served left over roast beef. i did not join in the feast. and to top the familial love, my kids went roller skating.

my computer got all screwed up due the the mcafee anti-virus system i had on it. i was on the phone from 8am, till 6:30pm trying to get help, and fixing it. i had a 2 hour brake, when i went to a job interview. that went just swell, i ended up telling the broad off, and storming out!

so happy birthday to me! who needs cards, right? just another trick of hallmark.

I'm sorry to hear about this, Steve. I know how you feel. I must've had a lousy birthday for at least the last 4 years in a row. At this point, I don't even look forward to them, anymore. Like Q, I just try to treat them as any other day. Of course, it wouldn't hurt if the day itself wasn't LOUSY. If it's any consolation, I'll be deploying on March 5th, which is my wife's 21st birthday, and spending my birthday aboard ship which is 8 days later, on the 13th. I won't be there to see her legally drink for the first time.
