Yep, football season is finally back. It's about damn time!
You are right. When one of the great franchises is mentioned, people get all riled up. You have to admit, in the NFL, you have San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Dallas, New England, and even the Raiders, bring up some strong emotions when you talk about them.
.
The Patriots are not a storied franchise. You can't go 40-years being worthless and be considered important because of a 4-year period.

Dallas has been pretty worthless since 1996. That is at least 14 years of worthlessness. But the Jets have been worthless since 1969. Notice Fiend how I can be objective?![]()
They haven't won a Super Bowl in a long time, yet they have still been able to maintain their popularity. They are still the most-watched team in the league and are the second most valuable franchise in the world.
Flock, you crack me up...
So, do you think it will be a good thing if the Giants/Jets win the SuperBowl when the game is held in NY?
In 2008 they were the most watched, in 2007 it was the Steelers, last year it was a virtual tie between Indianapolis and Minnesota, Dallas 2nd and then Pittsburgh 3rd, at least according to the Nielson ratings review I saw. But I do not know if that included Sunday Ticket views or not.
Still nothing to sneeze at. Dallas is indeed popular, with good reason.
Rob
They do a good enough job kissing their own asses. They don't need your help.

My question is where do you get your information? Do you have so much fun watching the cowboys that you just assume that everyone else is watching the cowboys also? I only watch the cowboys like 3 times a year, MNF, SNF, and Thanksgiving. The rest of the time I'm not watching the cowboys.
the new Cowboys stadium this year
Even several of my friends here that are devout Steelers fans had said this to me , even if they won't admit it publicly !![]()
Actually, I haven't watched the whole SuperBowl from beginning to end since the 1970's and I couldn't care less who wins it or where it's played.
Thirty-three percent of the country cares.
I get it from different websites related to the Cowboys and the NFL. I take an interest in how many people are watching America's Team. They've consistently ranked high in the ratings even when they the didn't have as good of a team as they have now. You look at the ratings for all of the MNF, SNF, and nationally-televised Sunday games and the Cowboys appear at the top over-and-over.
Yeah...and we know te Nielson Ratings are accurate. How many million homes and so few Nielson ratings boxes.
You're right, I'm sure millions of viewers aren't being counted. The Cowboys are even more popular than I thought.

Now you're just being retarded.![]()
