According to Maniactickler, this is a great President. Which is why getting into an argument with this individual is an energy wasting trap.

We need more Roosevelts and Trumans, not more spoiled unqualified preppies like bush. (think Kerry... think Billary).
Don't want McCain, don't want Obama, screw it I ain't voting in 2008.
unless Colin Powell runs. then I'll vote.

He never thought this out through the end; he just started war in an oil-rich country who was too weak to defend itself. Everyone knows the insurgents are coming from other countries than Iraq-that's why US troops are basically losing.
It's time to bring the troops home and let Iraq fend for itself. It's not the job of the US to defend everyone else's best interests. We've lost enough as it is in jobs, education, and god knows what else. Bush is a panty-waist who doesn't know what he's doing-just like his daddy. They wanted Saddam-now he's dead. It's time to go.........
You say he's got balls? I bet if you pulled his pants down you'd find the same that's underneath my skirt!

TKpervert said:Name one president who would turn down a chance to pack the courts. It's part of the game.

bugman said:We must disagree here somewhat kis,and you know how much i respect your intellegence.Bush Sr. served this country with honor during WW II,he can hardly be called a panty-waste.He also served as director of the C.I.A. as i'm sure you know.
Whatever may be said about their policies,i think they did what they thought best for the country.I think Jimmy Carter did also, and he was a distaster as a president.
One final comment about Bush Sr.He did what our allies and the U.N. mandated,no more no less.If political pressure had not stopped us from finishing the job the current conflict might have been avoided all togeather.
Well meaning people often do the wrong thing for the right reason, and president's are not exempt from that.We are so polarized by differences that i wonder if there is any common ground that can be agreed on anymore. If not,i fear for the future of our country.
maniactickler said:Its in our best interest too. if the oil fields fall into the wrong hands, theres some big trouble brewing shortly there after.
kis123 said:That's the only reason the US is out there-to protect their oil interests! So that's worth 3000 dead, thousands injured, and even more thousands of mentally anguished?
Invest in oil alternatives and reduce the dependence of foreign oil. If they kill each other over there, they've been doing it for thousands of years and are good at it. Our troops are basically looking at another Vietnam right now; you can send 200,000 more troops and you will get the same result. You know, it's not always the size of the dog in the fight as it is the size of fight in the dog, and Iraq is not going away quietly are they? The more we kill, the more come in to take their place with no end in sight.
The only way the war can be won is to drop a bomb over the entire country and it's neighbors like Hiroshima-I don't see that happening at all. If you're not going to do that, then send the troops home; their time and lives are being wasted.

kis123 said:His daddy started the obsession with Saddam and sent thousands to a failed war. His son took over when he went into office; nearly five years later we're again fighting a failed war costing us billions.
He used his political pull to keep his son out of the savings and loan scandal in the 90s. As far as I'm concerned it should've been the Keating 6 instead of 5. Neil Bush went through his daddy's trap door.
All of them are nothing but a bunch of liars, thieves, alcoholics, and drug addicts. The only good news I see is that it's highly unilikely that there'll be a second generation of them; at the rate their kids are going, none of them will live long enough to take office.

Lionhart said:I had to double check myself that I wasn't accidently in the P&R section. Pretty heated thread for GD. At any rate, as much respect as I have for the President I will admit that i'm growing weary of him trying to be so damn "politically correct" on the war on terror. If he would just ban the media in the combat zone(basically being all of Iraq), stop court marshaling our valient troops for killing innocent bystanders that the enemy so cowardly hides behind, and let our military decimate the enemy as we all know they can, claim absolute victory, restore peace and come home where they belong maybe the people whom like myself voted him into office for 4 more years would wholeheartedly stand behind him and proudly say "damn right I voted for him!" Sadly that remains to be seen. Thats my rant for the evening. You can agree, disagree,or whatever. God Bless..
I still say bugman in 08' LMAObugman said:You are right there Lion,it's time to win this thing or get the hell out.War is hell folks, and innocent people die.Douglas MacArthur, who knew a bit about the subject, said the only humane way to wage war is to end it as soon as possible, whatever it takes.
And as he also said,in war there is no subsitute for victory.kis123 made a good point in another thread, lets level the place or get out,and let them pick up the pieces. That part of the world has been at war for thousands of years, and its not going to change.
