Good Lord.

Santa brought my little girls a few copies of 'Pee Wee's Playhouse' from the '80's, this show is still a riot. BUT, I just saw Pee Wee checking to see if Cowboy Curtis ( a skinny Lawrence FishBurne with a Jeri Curl 😱 ) is ticklish. Um, he is.

OMG, in the days when I lived on the east coast, I had the good luck to actually BE in Sarasota when the infamous story broke--I'm a HUGE Pee Wee fan, detest the perverted pigs that make up the Sarasota PD (usually love cops elsewhere) and attended a rally in PW's behalf...I still have the T-shirt that in HUGE caps says "FREE PEE WEE" and on the back has a pic of him saying "We're all pulling for you!" <GG> Sometimes I miss being a kid...just thought I'd share...

There was an episode of 227 (the Marla Gibbs show) where guest star Pee Wee had a burgler handcuffed to a pipe and as they faded to a different scene Pee Wee starts tickling his sides.

Then there was an episode of Pee Wee's Playhouse where Pee Wee was sitting in his chair, "Chairy", and Chairy is tickling him.

THEN there was a show called "Madame's Place", a show hosted by Waylan Flowers and Madame (you know, the little old lady puppet). On one certain episode Pee Wee guest hosted and tickled the Madame puppet. Which was of course, really Waylan Flower's hand and arm.

For being a hetro porn monster P sure does tickle the guys.... But I saw him live in 1994 at his "Pee Wee Party" in Dallas and it was 2 hours of non-stop funniness, no dead spaces, nothing forced. Still one of the best comedy shows I've seen.

Then, in a weird 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon turn, "Madame" was a guest host on Solid Gold in the 80s. On one show she shouts to the Solid Gold dancers something like ...don't tell them what the number one song is this week "Unless they tickle your feet!!!"

I agree OJ--truly a comic genius and a damn shame he appears so rarely these days. I do believe he's got a MASSIVE fan base to the extent that he doesn't realize...

I'll never forget the look on his face when he intro'd at the MTV music video awards (1991 I think) and the crowd gave him a standing "O"...Truly priceless!

In '99 or 2000 Paul Reubins was in Dallas to accept the Dallas Video Festival's Ernie Kovacs Award for lifetime achievement on video. The Place was utterly packed and I couldn't get in. My stupid friend Trey got in, though.

He was talking about then that he might bring back Pee-Wee, he just didn't want to keep doing the character when he was old. But that's what Dana Carvey said about the Church Lady.

Some say he masterminded the entire thing because he wanted "out" of the Pee Wee character. That he didn't want to just go down (note the innuendo <gg>) in media history as the child/man who wore rouge and flood pants and worked on a set that looked like his decorator was on permanent acid trip...

OMG I remember that episode!! I was madly in love with Cowboy Curtis and watched that show every Saturday (I was 10). I thought that episode was so cute!! Anybody else out there think that Cowboy Curtis was hot or is it just me??
