An apology to the TMF...

Well... what else can I say? I've been a jerk lately. Recently, I posted about needing to leave the boards for a little while. I know this is crap, because I love you guys, and I just can't stay away for long. 🙂

Truth is, I was dealing with some personal issues that I was embarassed to talk about. First of all, I recently suffered an abdominal hernia. Anyone who has ever had a hernia... Jesus... you know how painful that is. To top that off, the company I worked for went under, so I am now unemployed. I found myself lashing out at people I have really come to care about here, as well as some others that I really don't know.

My apologies to you all. I never should have lashed out. I guess I was in need of some support but didn't know how to ask for it. I promise to behave from now on. I hope you guys will welcome me back, and not be too angry. I can be a real dummy sometimes.

Been there... Hope all goes better for you soon . Don't worry about any insult on This end; stress does that to us all. Getting MAD is easy; getting mad at the right time , instance, reason ...at the right person, situation And to the right degree is Hard to do.

Hey Adam, dont really know ya but can say I understand where your coming from...my job is currently in limbo you could say and that alone is stressful enough not knowing whats gonna happen one day to the next. It does tend to make people very very edgy..im there as of recent LOL. As for the hernia...CHRIST! I know what it is...all I can say is I wish u the best bro and keep your head up, think positive and fight the daily grind and all will be ok 🙂

I had to eat some crow with some humble pie on the side. I was stressed out and the post made me flash back to unresolved (and never will be) childhood crap. I exploded all over the place and it was hard to apologize. But I was taught that if I mess up in public, I fix it in public.

Very sorry to hear about your health and job. These employers make me sick playing chess with the livelihoods of human beings. I'm facing some of the same crap at work since my company was bought. I really understand how you feel.

Your apology was very much appreciated (although not directed to me) and it shows the kind of man you really are.

Hi Adam,

Iam very sorry to hear about your health problems and job. I hope you feel better and find employment soon. Everyone has different methods in how they deal with their serious personal problems.
I was hit with a "one- two punch", as well, in March, 2004, when my business I had worked on for nearly 3 years went under, and then I had a falling out with my father, and we estranged. Although I didnt lash out here, it made me depressed, and I talked about it often on here. Having dealt with the old "double whammy", like you're dealing with now, last year, I, for one, understand about people being stressed when many things hit them at once. Then, earlier this year, I was hit with high BP, and I just today closed another business.
It is great that you enjoy it here so much. Welcome back. That is why I stay as well. For the most part, the people here have been incredibly supportive to me during my tough times in regard to my father, business, and health. Certainly, if you have problems or vent your feelings, most on here will respond supportively, I find.
Good Luck with solving your issues, and if you need to talk, Iam available. I find that good friends can help get us through the rough times. Many times, my associations on TMF are what has aided in keeping me going during the tough times in these past 3 years.
