the supervising professor added in the article, that the sex of the tickler seemed to play a roll in the guys resction.

I told you, somewhere in a thread ages and ages ago, when the question was put forth, that a scientific study had shown males are more ticklish than females! All I got was "Oh no, Double, you must be mistaken", all from the men, of course! NOW do you believe me? Hey, I've got no problem with that whatsoever! Steph or Sinner (or basically any other TMF female) can come and check it out for themselves! (Naturally, it must be a comparison test! )

if you'll re-read the article, the supervising professor stated that the guys were only more ticklish when a woman tickled them. i believe the guys were giving the lady reacher what she wanted, and in return, they got a little tittlation.

Well, he's actually an expert on somatosensory neuro-physiology, which means his research deals with all sorts of pain, itching, tickling, touch-sensibility, heat/cold sensibility and so on.

That student Jackie Smith seemed to be particularly interested in tickling, and she devised and carried out her experiments independently, but under his supervision. He sent me several pounds of photocopies of earlier tickle-research from Germany, Japan and UK, most of them dating back to the 30s.

We also held a few phone conversations during which he asked me about details of my own tickle experiences. As psychology is his second field of research, he mostly asked me about emotions of tickler and ticklee, and about the range of sexual arousal during tickling.

One thing I've learnt from him was an extremely valuable piece of information: Why foot-tickling is considered highly erotic. All our neural impulses get transported to different receptors in the brain. Accidentally, the receptors for feet sensations are located in direct neighborhood to the receptors of our genitals.

When a specific receptor becomes overloaded with impulses (as inevitably happens during foot-tickling, but also during bastinado), electric sparks can reach the receptors in direct neighborhood, in this case the genital receptors. Result: Sexual arousal! 😎

Yes, you're right. Sorry about that. I'm sure that, I too, would laugh a little heartier if it meant a woman would tickle, or keep tickling me, but only a little, since most of it would be genuine!
