Dear TMF friends,

I hereby announce that my lovely wife has been pregnant with an adorable darkling for about a month now. They are both in perfect health, and all the tests are normal so far. I haven't been on the forum lately and as you may guess, I might dedicate less time to it in the foreseeable future. But I still love you all, and I wanted to share this wonderful piece of news with you.

Thank you! I shall be back from time to time to report on this exciting new adventure :xpulcy:

Hahaha, by now you know where that drawing at the bottom of my posts comes from, so you know his powers generate darklings 😀 I thought it was appropriate. I even managed to find the picture of a Napoleon darkling 😉

Seriously, thank you~ It is a new phase of my life, beginning at 35. Sometimes, I cannot believe it, other times I just cannot wait. Super excited :xpulcy:

I am happy to report that the baby's heart is clearly visible! My wife just went for an ultrasound (I am bound by work, unfortunately :sadcry:) and the doctor said it is a very good sign when the heart can be detected this early. I am over the roof with happiness and emotion right now :xpulcy:

UPDATE

Since we are more than halfway through, here is a little update~

The baby is extremely healthy. (S)He has a fast (normal) heartrate, and is VERY active in the womb. Likes to move a lot, and his/her mom even felt a kick last night. I have a feeling that (s)he is gonna be a fighter like mommy is lol 😛 The doctor is telling us that (s)he is in a very good shape, and everything is proceeding as normal.

Thanks a lot for all the support! (S)He should be born around the end of May or beginning of June :bubbleheart:

Never said "congrats", but there. And if that little guy/gal is that active now.... start getting some rest, and get ready for a wild ride.... (I've had three..., and two active grandkids)

Enjoy sleep while you can because once that little bundle arrives you can say goodbye to spending any length of time in bed haha
