Oh, and by the way, despite the fact that there are trolls out there, bear in mind that there are some people out there who are simply misunderstood and have misunderstood others, and aren't really trolls at all. If you get to know them a bit better, you could find that out very easily. But other than that, yes, there are trolls out there who are out to get you no matter what you do or say. Sometimes they will still be mean to you, even if you attempt to share kindness and camaraderie with them. The best you can do is ignore those folks, and try to be kind and understanding to the misunderstood folks. 🙂 Some of them can make excellent friends, if given the opportunity.

Anti-fetish and anti-BDSM trolls are always going to be part of the mix. They believe a certain thing...we believe a certain thing.

And...this happens even within the kink community. Take a place like this or TT. It's dedicated to a specific fetish...one that can often be seen as rather "light" compared to most other practices. Those of us who are in the TK community because it's a part of a much larger kink life have all heard the "warnings" against hard-core BDSM even on fetish forums.

In fact, I've even had to replace my own co-host on my BDSM radio show due to differences in fundamental beliefs. (Which I wished I'd known about earlier...but that's another story.) I'll be blunt...I'm an extreme edge-player. Rape fantasy, blood play, dark-edge role-play...pretty much the entire gamut. I don't condone it for everyone and fully know that almost ANY BDSM play has the potential to be less than 100% safe. You take the best precautions you can and make sure you're playing with or are involved with someone of a like mind and similar practices. In short...my co-host would constantly quote passages from a book by a specific kink "specialist" (ie: activist) to tell people not to try anything that could even remotely be considered risky.

Now, this is from someone active in the kink community within her own interests. Of course, we are going to get occasionally slammed by those who just do not see eye-to-eye with us. Here's my advice...just do what I do.

Theres an old saying that goes "when you point a finger at someone you point three back at yourself ". She sounds like someone who has too much shit going on in her own head for her to handle and is trying to offload it elsewhere . Dont buy into it its not you she has the problem with, its her own hang ups she isnt strong enough to deal with.

I'm a writer of tickling erotica and I've had people say some out-of-line things to me after publishing them online. I've tried not to take notice of the not nice comments. It's generally a matter of reading the comments and taking the REAL criticism out of the crap.

And if there is nothing helpful and it's just insults. Then ignore them. It's hard for a lot of people to ignore people who insult their work. I have angry/sad moments in response to these people somtimes.

But it's really good to learn to let those responses come and go. Don't let someone else's problems become your problems- especially when you are doing something you love 🙂
