Any "Dead Zone" fans?

Greetings all. I was just wondering if anyone else besides myself was hooked on USA's series-adaption of Stephen King's The Dead Zone. I dont actually watch it on TV, but get the seasons as they come out on DVD. I just got through the recently released Season Four and loved it just as much as the previous three seasons.

I bought the pilot movie a few years ago, thinking it was just a remake of an old movie, but then found it was actually a series pilot. So, I've been buying up the full seasons ever since.

It's hard to believe that series star and producer Anthony Micheal Hall is the same little dork from Sixteen Candles. He plays the Johnny Smith part very well. I also really like ex-MASH star David Ogden Stiers as the loyalty-torn reverend Purdy...along with the occasional appearance of Sean Patrick Flannery as Greg Stillson. (Not to mention the tiny and delectable Nicole DeBoer of "Cube" and "Star Trek DSN" fame...sigh....)

Any other fans, thoughts or insights on this very well-done series?

LOVED the book - haven't seen the series (or the movie). Adding it my Netflix now, tho. 🙂

i saw the movie with christopher walken. it was awesome, yet so sad.. never saw the series..

I'm a freak for anything by Stephen King--the movie kicked ass and so did the book!

Read the book around 1980 or so. Wasn't as good as The Stand, which preceeded it, but still a decent story. Christopher Walken and Martin Sheen both did a good job on the movie.

Sadira and I own the first three seasons of the " Dead Zone ". I must admit she turned me on to the show. But it is a AWESOME show. We will be getting season number 4 as soon as we are finished watching the three season.

The new season started June 18th, I think was the day. I know it's been a couple of weeks now. Great show....even though Stephen King usually creeps me WAY out.

I generally don't like Stephen King stuff that much unless it's the Dark Tower series.

But seeing the series I really like it. More wierd than creepy but if anyone knows me that wouldn't surprise them.

Yeah, I like it, which is surprising as I think it's one of King's worse books from before the accident. (After all his books stink. It's like he lost something when he was hit by that car.)
