anybody see Inception?

I just saw it today and would highly recommend it...as everyone else has pretty much already stated. Very original concept. The ending isn't really confusing. It just allows you to put your own "spin" on it. 😉 I don't think that gives anything away for those who haven't seen it yet.

I'm not ready to say it was better than "Dark Knight", but I liked it much better than DiCaprio's last flick, "Shutter Island". Everyone raved about "Shutter Island", but I thought it was just so-so.

Just saw it after class a while ago. I'm still ugghhhh thinking critically about it till now!

I never had any intention of seeing it but I went last night with a friend and it was alot better than I thought . I really like the complexity of the movie a dream within a dream crazy shit .

I saw it Sunday. I took my parents and we thought it was awesome. My dad certainly enjoyed it and he's picky when it comes to movies. 😀

I'm one of the few people on the planet that thought it was a shockingly bad film. Maybe I expect too much from Nolan, but it was a poor, poor show on his part. It reminded me of Avatar in that it was a lot of glitz and hype, but when you strip that away you're left with unexplored characters and a flimsy plot.

Without explaining the plot and ruining it on people, I felt that it should have focused more on DiCaprio's story and not the main plot. It tried to focus on both and missed the mark.

I recently saw Inception and loved the shit out of it. I think my comment at the time was that it was The Matrix for people who went to college. 😛

And then even more recently I saw this: an old Scrooge McDuck comic that appears to be virtually the entire plot of the movie. Take a gander (that's a duck-pun 😉) if you dare:

Coincidence? Or did Nolan pull an M. Night Shyamalan?

I’ve seen a lot of comments from people complaining “Inception” is a complete rip-off of a Japanese anime film “Paprika”. I had never heard of the film, but it’s obvious the concept has been out there for some time.

I enjoyed the the film, but found it to be a little too Matrixy (particularly the music) to be worthy of all the praise it’s getting.

Drew & I finally got over to see it on Tuesday night. Excellent!!! And I loved the ending. I don't always enjoy it when a movie keeps me wondering. But, this was done skillfully and made me glad they did it. Bravo!

I loved the cast: whole load of good actors sharing the same stage =) ...Now then you mentioned that Japanice original it makes me want to check that one too.

Yeah, went to see it last night with Fireguardian and Capnmad. Absolutely amazing movie. To begin with it seemed real complicated, but the second half of the movie made all the pieces fit together nicely. One of the most satisfying films I've seen in a long time.

I saw it last night! 😀
Let me just say that Ellen Page is brilliant as always! :veryhappy: I freakin' love that girl!

Anyway, yeah I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the film. It's not one of my favorite movies, but it's certainly up there. =) Oh, and I personally loved the music. Idk, it seemed very ominous and suspenseful to me...it fit the plot really well.

I loved it. They did an amazing job and you can't dislike a movie that has a plot that really gets you involved and guessing. I think it's one of those that I want to see again just to pick up on any little nuances I may have missed the first time while trying to absorb the main story line.

While there are certainly similarities, I wouldn't call Inception derivative of it. At this point in time, it's rather difficult for any movie to be completely without precedent. I think Inception's plot is very much original, and apparently, Nolan spent nearly a decade putting the screenplay together.
