Anyone Else Been Experiencing Forum Problems?

I've been experiencing a problem with the forum since the last move, and I'm curious to see if it's only my computer, or if it may be a problem for more members than myself.

Whenever I go to post a reply, or start a new thread, I get everything typed out, scroll down to the submit button, and the moment I click on submit, I am taken to a "page can not be found" error page. Then I have to hit 'back' on my browser, refresh the page, and my thread or post appears. So my replies and threads ARE going through, but whenever I hit the submit button, I am taking to the error page rather than the updated thread page.

I also get the "page can not be found" error whenever I try to use the search function on the forum.

Is anyone else experiencing difficulties like the ones I described?

Mimi

The only "glitch I have found is when I click on insert hyperlink it takes me right back to my reply box and I have to hit it again...

Nothing like you described.....Do you have your popup blocker disabled while on TMF or is it on?

I've had problems like that, Mimi, especially when I PM someone. I click 'send' then the page freezes... I click 'send' again and I get a message that says, "You can only send a message every sixty seconds." I'm left wondering if my messages get deleted in the process. Apparently the PM's get to their destination, but it's still a hassle.

Thanks for responding, both of you. Even if folks are NOT having any problems, please post a quick reply to this thread stating such so that we may be able to tell if this is enough of a wide spread problem that we need to look into finding an error somewhere, or if it's just a minor glitch.

Ray, no, I don't run a pop-up blocker at all. They interfere with too many websites, so I haven't run one in quite some time.

FF, thanks for replying. I have that same problem sometimes too. In fact, I just experienced it about 5 minutes ago replying to a PM. The PM sent anyway, but I had to go to my sent items to be sure, since when I hit "send", I was taken to an error page. Grrr.

Thanks you two. Keep replying, folks.

Mimi 🙂

Hi, Mimi.
I haven't had any such problems, all my replies get posted, and I get taken to my reply.

I also have had no problems, even thogh I do have a pop-up blocker.

I just downloaded the Mozilla Firefox browser yesterday, too. Would that have anything to do with the problems I'm having? I don't want TMF to take the blame for something I may have done.

I HAVE had that problem pretty rarely... it's been a very minor inconvenience so far. Maybe a once a day thing.

preview post button

It might be a Firefox browser gliche, but whenever I preview a reply I am doing I cant submit it from the preview submit options. This has happened before yesterday. It could be a browser problem. <<<<---- 😎

why does the forum keep jumping back to the main page? is it an editting problem?

I use Firefox with no problems at all.

I should state quickly that I am experiencing these problems on I.E. I do have Mozilla as well, but I prefer using I.E. personally.

It could definitely be a browser glitch...but if it is it is not exclusive to any one browser apparently.

Hi Mimi!

What I'm noticing is that my subscribed messages are taking a loooooooooooooooooooong time to get to my inbox, even though I usually catch them on the forum long before they show up there. It's weird. For like, an hour, I'll have nothing in my inbox, and then all of the sudden 20 msgs show up. :wowzer: Bizarre...

XOXO

So far, so good for me...

If it's any help at all, I just started my first thread over in tickling discussion with absolutely no incident.

Thanks to all who replied about the Mozilla Firefox browser. I was wondering... when I scroll up and down, it isn't a 'clean' scrolling action. It seems a little 'jittery.' Is that normal for Firefox? When that happened on Internet Explorer, I ended up calling Rent-A-Techie to fix it, and sure enough, I had a million viruses. Please help ease my mind! Sorry if this is slightly off-topic.
