Anyone ever thought about becoming a pedicurist, specifically for tickling?

I just don't understand how people can say it's perfectly fine for a person to go into a profession driven entirely on sexual urges. And as long as the person they're acting on, or thinking about doesn't notice, it's fine. But then they don't want to think about it when the analogy, which makes perfect sense, involves children.

If a person is getting off on something, IN HIS MIND, there is no way anyone would know so there's no harm done. What they (the patient, client, whatever) don't know won't hurt them, and it won't hurt the person getting off (as far as consequences) as long as it stays in his PRIVATE thoughts. The same principle applies whether you're talking about adults, kids, animals, whatever. PRIVATE thoughts don't hurt anyone as long as that's where it stays and for the purposes of this discussion I think we're assuming the pedicurist/doctor/whatever has enough self control that that's where it stays.

Yeah yeah I know, one could argue that it's still wrong because the person is using the client/patient/whatever for his own sexual fantasies whether they're aware they're being used or not. I'm not interested in idealism, I'm only talking pragmatically.

You know, if the person has ONE patient that it found attractive - cool. THEN it is only in his thought. If the person only took that profession because it turns him on sexually, then he/she is not doing it in his mind, the person is actually DOING something. Using unknowing people who come there because they trust the person! That is WRONG!

I described an example in another thread - doctors have been touching patients who were under narcotics. Some woke up and realized it. Do you say it is alright for the doctors to do it if the patients never woke up and never knew about it?

Touching someone in a way that is against their will is illegal. Thoughts are not illegal - yet. If the doctor does his job professionally then goes home and jerks off all over his bathroom every night, he is not breaking a single law. If it offends someone's moral sensibilities, tough shit. Someone's moral sensibilities and the law are two different things.

Nobody says it's illegal - some of us just think it's morally wrong! Plus - if it comes out that the doctor has a hard-on during his exams, it might very well run as sexual harrassment - which would be illegal.

In a set of circumstances like the one in this thread, the only determination of "morally wrong" that matters is that of the lawmakers. The thing with the erection during an exam, that would be awfully hard (no pun intended) to get over in court.

The thing is, does something get illegal the moment you can prove it? I don't think so! Theft is also illegal if nobody realizes something got stolen! So even if the doctor or pedicurist is aroused without a hard-on, it would still be sexual harrassment!

This is nowhere near as complicated as you're making it. Does your doctor ever have sexual thoughts when he's examining you? Are you sure?? If it's a female doctor, how do you know she's not a lesbian and having sexual thoughts about you? You know what I bet? I bet you don't WANT to know! Why? Because as long as they do their job professionally, it doesn't matter!! I don't know what else needs to be said.

No, not because it doesn't matter, because it would be a big breach of trust! Nobody would want it! Nobody would want a doctor having sexual thoughts while doing their examination! And that is what this is about! It DOES matter! If someone has sexual thoughts while they are doing their job, that already IS unprofessional!

Wow, a zombie thread rising from the grave is just never pretty.

The one aspect you're forgetting is we are all human, and even though there have been times I've found my job as a pedicurist a little too enjoyable, I always snap myself out of it and keep my professional composure.
I wouldn't say I'm not professional because my mind wandered for one second.

I agree , I thought this discussion died a long time ago, but here I am posting on it, giving it more life.

I'm also pretty sure you didn't become a pedicurist because it gets you off, now did you? 🙂

No,I wouldn't like that job.I go get pedicures and they really don't tickle so,I don't know what everyone is talking about

No, but I have thought about becoming a pedicurist because I want to touch nasty crusty blue haired old lady feet

The thread with the guy who tickles his 2 female roommates feet and unbeknownst to them gets off on it, reminded me of this thread. Only here we're talking about someone choosing their profession for the purpose of getting to tickle feet, so its a little more involved than the guy tickling his roommates.

First of all, there are people who have to change the discussion and say "yeah well what if he videotapes it or photographs it without your knowing? What about a dentist who feels up his patients while they're knocked out?" Let's keep this to the original scenario. A guy with a tickling fetish sees videos on youtube that young women take of their friends getting tickled half to death by little asian ladies giving them pedicures. So he decides "the little asian ladies aren't even trying to tickle them! They're just doing their job and it happens to tickle the girls. I'm going to become a pedicurist and do what the little asian ladies are doing." That's it. He doesn't photograph or videotape anyone without their knowledge. He doesn't do anything outside of his job description. He does his job the same way the little asian ladies do, does nothing different than they do, except that he's getting sexual gratification while he does it.

Okay, I will use myself as an example here. Let's say I have a doctor, and unbeknownst to me he happens to be gay. Its none of my business anyway, but lets say its totally unbeknownst to me. Let's say this doctor is not just any doctor who happens to be gay. He specifically became a doctor for the purpose of getting to examine men, because it excites him sexually. I'm sure he has much more attractive male patients than me, but maybe he likes obese hairy men, who knows? Ridiculous example, I know, but bear with me.

Anyway, this doctor also does not photograph or videotape me without my knowledge. He doesn't touch me in any way that is unnecessary for him to do his job. He is competent and always gives me the correct diagnosis and prescribes the correct treatment, if any. Now from my perspective, this doctor has served my purposes. I got the use that I needed to get out of him. He also, again unbeknownst to me, has gotten use out of me because he goes home and masturbates as he recalls examining me. Sorry, if I was physically attractive maybe this would be a bit more believable. But anyway we have been mutually useful to one another.

I think that's the point of all this. People serving their useful purpose. He does nothing unnecessary or outside of his job description. He just happens to have gotten into that profession with ulterior motives. But from my perspective, I got my proper use out of him, so I have no complaints. And neither would a woman getting a pedicure from a competent pedicurist who knows what he's doing and is good at his job. There's about a 0.000001% chance that the little asian ladies in the nail salon are intentionally tickling those young women. Its just part of what they do, unless every ticklish pedicure ever posted on youtube was done by an incompetent pedicurist. Otherwise, the competent pedicurist who got into the profession with ulterior motives has from the client's perspective, served his useful purpose and unbeknownst to her, she has served her useful purpose (for the pedicurist) as well. But he provided the service she paid for in a competent manner, so she has no grounds to complain. I think I've explained this side of the argument as well as anyone could.

The thing is, a pedicurist who tickles his customers will not get a whole lot of them. Pedicurists usually try to avoid tickling as much as they can.

I did exactly that in the 80's early 90's..started doing my wife then her sisters cousins and it grew. Their friends co-workers, my co-workers, neighbors, it was great! Out of about 150 regulars, very few I did not enjoy.

So all the ticklish pedicures posted on youtube are done by incompetent pedicurists?

I go to pedicurists several times a year, since we have a long beach season. They all tickle, whether they try to or not. They rake the soles with that stiff brush to remove the dead skin and flaking callouses.

Though some can't stand it, and have to forgo that part of the process, many do what I do....Insist the pedicurist do the job, while they grin wildly and bear it. 😉

If a man or woman likes to tickle on the job, that would definitely be a way to do it. I knew a woman from NJ long long ago on a tickling forum far far away who was a pedicurist in high demand. She would tell her clients, "If you want your feet to be beautiful, you've got to suffer through this." She even told a story of one girl who used to bite down on a clean wash cloth during the "torture." But my friend new her business, and when she was done, the girl's feet were flawless.

I go to the pedicurist every six weeks, she never used a stiff brush on me, and she really tries to avoid anything that tickles; but then I take care of my feet...so there is not a whole lot of dead skin and callouses on my feet... (by the way: sounds REALLY pleasurable to be a pedicurist...yuck! 🙂 )

Or overly sensitive customers! But then there is also a difference between pedicurists and the medical type of pedicurists I guess. I have really ticklish feet, but the pedicures I get hardly tickle.

Well in my case, maybe it's not actually a brush. I have never had a good look at it, but it's firm and the surface texture feels kind of like a mild scouring pad of the sort that one would use on Teflon pots and pans in lieu of steel wool.
