Ugh! Im so sick of contact lenses! How much would a good procedure cost? I heard its down to $400 per eye which I would get tomorrow but is that too cheap? I mean is that too good to be true? Anyone ever get it? Maybe you can tell me what its like.😎

It would cost about 3000 dollars. You should do some research on doctors and laysic eye surgery, which i think is the term used for it, before you go ahead and get it.

3 grand??? How come at my optometrist they recommended a doctor for as I said 400 per eye? Where the big gap come from and why?

I thought about having the surgery done, but I was told that it would cost about $4000 total. I asked a few people who've had it done about it and most were very happy with the results; one guy was in his 70's when he had it done... yet a few said that they couldn't drive at night due to seeing 'halos', caused by the approaching headlights. I do a lot of night driving so I decided to forget about it. I look better with glasses anyway.

I did find a place that would do the procedure for $400 per eye, but I'd have to drive 200 miles to have it done and I'd need someone with me to drive me back. I'd be suspicious of any eye surgery that costs so little anyway.

I know Dtrell had it done and kitten is considering it. I'd be suspicious of the cheaper price, your sight is one place you DON'T want to cut corners! I'd do a TON of research first.

Check out Dr. Joseph Delarussa(check spelling). Lots of people swear by him and he is located in New Jersey. Close to Manhatten. Check it out. Good luck.

Dellarusso Huh?

I live in the Bronx so Dellarussos office wouldnt be that much of a problem to get to speaking of his Manhattan one. Is he a 400 dollar an eye or a 2000 dollar an eye? I heard his commercial on the radio. One thing is certain that all you nice folks suggested and I agree...more research is needed.😕

Ok, I've been doing some serious investigation for about a year now. Great Lakes Eye in MI is good and I have yet to find a person with a bad experiece. It SHOULD cost about $3000, you shouldn't trust anyone who charges less, I mean, this is your eyes. Keep to a quote like that and you should get a doc who's got the right equiptment and make sure to get some referrals.... VERY important!

Thank you Ticklkitten, I certainly will take that into consideration. It was really nice to hear from you.🙂

Also, no matter who you choose, make sure they are AMA recommended. You might check also w/your local BBB.
XOXO

I have a good friend who is an opthamologist and I'll see if I can get a recommendation for some good people in your eye, and get a consultation with several docs, trust your instincts.

Basic Instincts!

Aw shit TK trusting my instincts condemned me to an existence of unclogging toilets and installing flourescent light bulbs for a bunch of scumbag 6 figure executives while getting married to a chain smoking catholic school teacher! Id say my instincts have pretty much ruined my Goddamn life I dont want them to get me blinded.🙁

(deep breath) okaaaayy, I'm going to head off to a corner now with my tail between my legs.

Wish It Were You!

Aw honey dont be like that I didnt mean it that way its just that my birthday is wednesday and im depressed. Shit Ticklkitten you know or maybe you dont that I have a crush on you...its true. I wish you were here in NYC and I would wake up one morning look next to me in bed and there youd be sleeping with a wedding ring on. As I look around the room there are photos of you as a bride and me as a groom! Im gonna dream of that tonight.🙂

Lasik

I used to work in an eye clinic. In Windsor it's very common for Lasik to be very inexpensive. The difference in price isn't due to the quality of surgery. All the machines and clinics are pretty much the same. The difference in price is in the amount of aftercare provided afterwards. The more expensive ones usually track the patient for up to 3 years after the surgery.
