Are most ticklephiles cat people?

Just something I was pondering....in the "Chubby Pet Thread" in the General Discussion forum the majority of people to respond talked about their cat(s). Ironically I was the first one to mention a dog, me and one other. I did have a cat though and do consider myself a cat person (duh). Just wondering how many other people here prefer cats.....

(and I definitly understand their uses.....that sand paper tongue....saw that done once...)

I love cats. Especially with Teriaki sause. WHOA, now, just kinding. Sometimes my dark side takes over for a few minutes.

I love cats, especially laid back kind of cats.

Also, the sand paper tongue is really cool. I think big cats, like panthers and tigers would be even more effective.

PS, Cheshire, where did you see the sand paper tongue done, and could you give us a full account. Inquiring minds want to know.😕

It was at a Renaissance Faire in Lancaster County PA. I kinda wandered around but never far from that one set of stocks I found that did tickling. They used goats, cats, feathers, but seldom used their fingers. Plus most of the people they put in them were other Faire personel. "Wenches" and the like. Few seemed genuinely ticklish, but the cats tongue was quite effective on even the most stubborn ones. The saving grace was this woman done up like the village *****, a tall, leggy brunette with dark green eyes, put in the stocks for "prostitution". Gorgeous high arched feet and very ticklish. WHY IN GODS NAME DIDNT I BRING A CAMERA??? It was about 4-5 years back, I was a bit more naiive..

I have had 3 cats, but right now I have dogs, and consider myself a dog person by far. Just glad to have the happy wagging tails when I come home no matter what!

I am allergic to cats, so I am not a cat person.

However, I absolutely LOVE dogs. I wish I lived in a place where I could have a dog.

When I was in California and stayed with QB, her dogs woke me up by kissing me. It was so awesome.

While I do like cats, I'm still definitely a dog lover! One of our family dogs named Bruno had to be put down recently cause he was so old. 🙁

I got a doberman named Thor who is a year old and a small jack russel mixed with a fox terrior named Spencer. I love them to bits!

Dammit, CL, you stole my bit! I was gonna go with a little garlic and rosemary, though... tastes just like chicken! 🙄

But when I was growing up, I always wanted to be that guy at Marine World that gets to wrestle the bengal tigers, how freakin' cool would THAT be! Until I found out what kind of schooling you've gotta go through for that! Yikes, it's like a million years worth of college just to clean out their cages!

But I'm definitely a dog person. Cats are just furry little bundles of attitude most times, and sharpening their claws on the furniture?!?!? Where's my broom?!?!? Dogs are cooler, giving that childlike, unconditional love, 24/7/365. Gotta love their personality and loyalty. Dogs rule, cats drool! LoL

I have a fondness for all animals however cats do hold a special place for me. When my wife and I met we discovered that we each had two cats. So when we decided to tie the knot we became the proud owners of four kitties.

Having 7 cats, I guess you can chalk me up as a cat person as well. But I do love ALL animals, and would be just as happy as a proud dog owner, or bird owner, or rabbit or gerbil or iguana or monkey or pig, etc. Cats were just what I mostly grew up with, and the only kind of pet I was allowed to have in my apt....hence the start of my cat collection...lol

Well, not sure about me. I don't have cats. Nor dogs. Probably allergic to both. Though Filipinos have this reputation for being dog-eaters (heh heh), but that's another matter. I'd imagine cats are effective foot ticklers/lickers with their tongues.

Oh, and what do you except from Cheshire Cat? He's smoked more herbs than cooks would use them in their dishes!

Hey Folks...I have friends that have cats but personally
I have always been a dog lover and I have 1 dog currently
which is a Westie which is short for West Highland White
Terrier .When I was young ,our family used to have a
Datsun (think the spelling is wrong) so in short I
have been around dogs more...But I have a friend
that I used to live by that had cats and I would
start giggling when her cat would snuggle up behind my
head and start licking my hair LOL 🙂.

I haven't been to the forum for about a week and I haven't read this topic and I apoligise for bumping it but I gotta say Dogs are the coolest. I mean I love my cat, I've had him for years but Dogs are just so much more friendly and loyal and energetic, the list goes on.

Cats are snobby and sly and seem to have alterior motives all the time.

the only good thing i can think of for cats, is as a replacment for the beef in tacos. don't knock it till you try it!
actually any dish that calls for rabit, can be used for cat too.

I'm okay with cats, but am a dog person really. I just lost my beagle called Snoopy only last month. 12 and a half years old and his heart gave out on him so we had to have him put down. I was in absoloute bits for two weeks. What is left of him is in a small casket about three feet away from me right now.

I hope I can get another one before too long.

Doggies for me!

I truly love all animals but I'll take a dog over a cat anytime.

I have two dogs now, Talle' and Laguna. A Ridgeback/Pit mix and a Border Collie. Both of them are incredibly loving. Talle' even loves to hug. Just ask Jen or Danimal! LOL

And we do Foster care for dogs also. I just found homes for two border collies back in January who came from abusive homes. Both of them are thriving with their new families. That makes it all worthwhile.
