I believe a thread I made in support of "Czech Tickling" was deleted.

The Golden Feathers are an absolute joke, if my thread WAS deleted. Regardless, I have re-posted it.

The Golden Feathers are little more than "I scratch your back, you scratch mine".

Out of 80,000 members, as few as 1-10 people might be voting on most of the Golden Feather Awards.

Those that do vote are doing it in a shadowy, political way. Those that vote are voting for their pals on this board, who in turn vote for them in other categories.

Worse still, my thread in support of Czech Tickling was deleted without so much as a notification!

Will this thread be deleted? I hope not.

What's the bloody point of having a competition if it is not fair, above board and respectable?

But seriously, I CANNOT imagine that anyone actually deleted your golden feather post. I mean, who do you think has anything to gain from controlling the results of this? Isn't that a pretty weird conspiracy?

And don't you think it would be kind of obvious, like you're probably not the only one who saw your czech thread before it went missing, and the same would be true of other "suppressed" threads, right?

Whil I wasn't nominated htis year ( as I have been taking a lower profile in these here parts) in the past I openly and vigourously campaigned for a Feather!

In fact I don't think ANYONE has campaigned for themsleves as much as I did in past years!

Btw this statement is also pretty ridiculous. If only those nominated voted for themselves that would be more than 10 people. But I would expect the number of people voting anonymously is in the hundreds or even thousands. There are a lot of devoted clip purchasers on this site and you know they are going to want to validate their favorite choices by voting for them.

Just took a look, because I was prety sure I had seen something about Czech being highlighted as a recent post. You did post it, and it's still there. The problem is, you posted it in the nominations section, after the voting had already begun and the nominees selected. Your post in support of Czech is still sitting there, under "Tickling Company of the Year" in the nomination section. At this point though, and since the voting began, votes need to be in the voting thread under all that nominee stuff.

Because it's a VOTE. I'm not going to assume anything about a post, and move such to the vote thread. That sets a horrid precedent.

I've always assumed that people would read the rules for voting posted in the forum, and vote in the vote thread. Next year I'll lock the nomination forums after the nomination process ends to prevent confusion.
