Are you a homebody?

Left to my own laziness, I would rarely leave my apartment. But I am always trying to encourage myself to get my ass out the door and do something. 🙂

Yeah I'm pretty much the same way. This weekend I've got to force myself to get my lazy 37 year old ass out of the house and so something...anything! :facepalm2:

I'm a homebody--for the wrong reasons.

I have always kept to myself and stayed at home. My computer seems to be my "friend." I make my bracelets to sell on the crafting sites I belong to. I do see my nieces and nephew a lot and spoil them to bits. But that's just about it. I sleep, work, eat and repeat.

Pretty much a homebody i suppose.I describe myself as a sociable hermit. While i enjoy seeing my friends,i need and crave solitude. And given my moodiness,it's probably best for me to be alone most of the time.🙂

I am a homebody mainly cause my computer work keeps me at home. Also I take care of my folks. 🙂

I'm pretty much a homebody now. I just got tired of the same old thing when going out. Now I save my money and go out when I want to, not when I feel I have to.

This.

Cabinfever. Although I lived at the best place for parties for 2 years so most parties were at my house.

I love to be out on the road.

On occassion, I'll do something a bit more rowdy. But, I have to store up energy beforehand.

This struck a chord with me! I definitely have to rest before something big. I often call my friends and ask them if I can come an hour or so later to events if I had just done something big beforehand (of course, if it's something important like a banquet, I'll just toughen up and go).

As for being a homebody... yes! I'd say 70% of my time is preferred at home. I try to schedule an outing at least once a week with someone, or else I feel as if my week was wasted somehow.

If I spend too much time outside, not only would I be tired, I'd feel as if I didnt' devote enough time to my projects!:panic:

It's a very delicate balance!

If i had it my way i wouldn't leave home too terribly often. As i've gotten older, i've begun to take great joy in working around the house at my leisure. Sometimes when i'm out of work i guess i feel a little claustrophobic at times but once i start the working game again all i can think about is saturday and staying home aaaalll day long.

I am definitely a Homebody, :xpeepsofaand my s/o is pretty much also. Also, having no job, :Grrr:which equals no money to get gas to really go anywhere. Plus all my life, I've had a decent amount of friends, but only one "best" friend, and I have no friends out here in "too sunny" southern ca, my best friend is back in jersey. If I could finally find a job, then at least I might be able to meet a friend. But even in Jersey, with my best friend, I still loved to "go home", so I was still a homebody there also. I find it safe and comforting to be home, plus in dealing with people I do not know, or even don't know that well, (out of the house) I get pretty bad anxiety:shake: and start to sweat and that makes it worse. :panic:
