Do these words make you cringe? Omg the other day I went in for physical Therapy and the sexy older lady asked me this while she was conducting her analysis and when I jumped as her hands hit my one of my spots I swear I could hear her smiling as she said I'll try and stay away from your tickle spots!!

I swear she could be the most sadistic tickler and I was wondering by using tickle talk words if she was giving herself away 😉

You never know....coincidence?

this reminded me the one time when my old doctor asked me if i was ticklish.
my mom was standing right there.
ugh. *shivers*

I always freak out. I turn 8 shades of red and deny I am before they finish asking and start giggling like a moron LOL

I always say no. I don't know why - it's like a reflex. And I say it with the straightest face ever. Probably because if you say yes people are probably going to ask follow up questions, which I do not want to deal with.

If someone asks ‘Are you ticklish’, it dosen’t matter what you say, they are going to tickle you. If you don’t want to be tickled, you gotta say something like.’ I have diareha….now don’t touch me, or your gonna make it come out…..and yes, I’m very ticklish.

But most people don't associate tickling with sex, so I don't see what's "gross" about it in this context.

I just say yes, very.

Especially if its in a professional setting like the doctor or dentist. Sometimes its led to some interesting conversations.

I've only been asked that question after someone does something that may have been an inadvertent tickle. Usually its a girl I'm getting flirty with so I say yes and then try a pre-emptive strike before she gets the (wanted) chance to do it again.

Hearing that in public from others though... now that strikes my interest, despite the face that I don't like to eavesdrop. My ears are apparently drawn to the word "tickle" in any of its forms, and try though I may, I end up at least partly listening in. College man... its killing me 😛.

It has never bothered me to be honest. I have not been asked in years though so I am not sure what I would think about it now.

If one more supermodel has the nerve to ask me, I'll explode!

IF it is in regard to one of those creepy TMF personals posts, in the confessional booth, in the phone booth, ( I said "the" because only one still exists and the lines at the Smithsonian can be a real bitch) on the phone @ $2.99 a minute or more, in a random/generic 12 step program speech, on those Sonicare infomercials at 3:00 am, as long as it does not precede "turn your head and cough" at the doctor, I am ok with da query.

Haha I don't think they make me cringe. If I did, I would probably hate to be tickled but I really enjoy it, and sometimes I even ask to be tickled by walking around bare foot, or wearing a bikini so I would most likely grin not cringe lol.

If you asked me to I would just as long as you got me back 🙂

that's always so embarassing isn't it. I don't let her go with me into the exam room anymore.. Cause I always have to answer yes.. and then turn purple. sometimes she answers for me, which is worse yet! :facepalm2:

I have the same problem. Just hearing the word makes me feel strange. and anything with Ish on the end. and anything with ickle in it, I always have to strain my ears...

I tend to cringe and get a little shy then my heard has a slight thud. Weird. But I hate beign asked that if I'm around my parents let alone hear my parents say it themselves. Makes me very uncomfortable.

Depends on the context. Like, if it's a doctor asking, I know they won't tickle me because that would be weird, so I don't have a reaction.
If it's not in a professional setting, I'll usually just blush and say something like "possibly", or one of my friends will go "YEAH! She's SO ticklish! It's crazy!"

Interesting, I see at least two women on here who find it 'yuk', 'shivers' and 'gross' if someone asks them if they're ticklish. Yet, they're active members of a tickling fetish forum and I expect looking to be tickled from time to time. How does that figure?
