Before you say "I'm not a professional model!" (Unless you are...) My definition of a professional is actually pretty close to the business idea of a professional:
You never flake on a photographer. It's your work ethic. That makes you a professional. I believe being a member here adds to that, because you are able to get the input of members...even if you are also doing other things here like telling jokes, debating politics, offering prayers on the prayer threads. You can guage what people may want to see in a video, where the models who just need a few bucks, don't really care what members of the Tickling Forum want in their videos!

My definition of a professional, in any field:
-You show up.
-You show up on time.
-You do the work required of you.
-You don't bitch and complain the whole time.
-If you're asked to bring something, ex: short skirt and tan pantyhose, dress
outfit, certain shoes, whatever....you remember to bring it.

There's extra stuff to be more professional - you help the producer with behind the scenes stuff, packing up equipment, holding a light, whatever...even though "It's not your job" you do it anyway.

Great work, by the way! (I'm holding out for some flesh colored or tan pantyhose shoots by Viper before I buy some clips, though....)

Aww thanks! No one has ever said that I am a professional before! I am always doing the extra little things because I love learning new things and putting them to use! Besides if I don't learn what he does how can I torture innocent people when he is not there?

Well here I am to scream about flaky models myself. Well a maybe flaky model...but grrrr.

I cant understand how I talked to this girl back and forth for the last two days about doing a shoot. She sent me photos and is a bubbly cheery type girl. That is fine. We finalized that TODAY at 9:30 am was the day. Confirmed that last night around 12 ish. She gave me her number I gave her mine. I knew what the plan was and gave location. Here I am at 11:00 am, and nothing. No phone call, no text, no email, no carrier pidgeon, no smoke signals, NOTHING. I called twice and yes heard her voice mail, so it IS her. I left 2 messages and nothing! What in God's name happened that of all days, TODAY...TO FUCKING DAY has to be the day that something goes wrong that you totally forget that you have an appt with someone and you cant FUCKING CALL OR SAY SOMETHING to let the person know? "Andre fuck you Im not coming." "Andre, the moon fell outta the sky and hit my sunroof" SOMETHING. Im telling you the last two days were YAKITTY YAKITTY YAK YAK and "oh this sounds great and this is fun, and and and". And now just outta no where, nothing. Just burns me up.

I'm sorry to say that you're going to have to get used to this sort of thing, because it happens all the time. I've learned the hard way how unreliable, irresponsible and disrespectful people can be. They either drop you at the last minute, sometimes for bogus reasons (but not always), or don't even bother to contact you at all. Even candidates that seem super enthusiastic at first, the ones you're sure will do it, can let you down in a major way, as you found out with Model B. I can understand changing one's mind, but there's a correct way to handle such a situation. Many of the candidates have no clue how to behave in a civilized way.

I think my personal worst experience was back when I was working on a stock (not stocks) photography project I was involved in before I started working on tickling videos. Part of the process involved meeting potential candidates in a neutral environment to discuss the project in person and to give them some documentation. One day I had managed to book an impressive total of 8 meetings with solo candidates or teams of candidates. Well, only one showed up that day. A few called me at the last minute to cancel (while I was already on my way to meet them, of course), but the others didn't even bother, probably figuring I wasn't worth it. My score was 1-for-8 in one day, and the one who did show up didn't do a shoot after all. So it was really 0-in-8. Can you imagine how discouraging that was? It wasn't even a fetish project at all. It was mostly generic portrait photography, with nothing remotely adult or even sexy involved. So it's not surprising that models flake so often within a fetish context. Especially something so exotic as tickling. If anything, models are more wary about it than about regular nude stuff, even if no nudity is involved. I guess they figure it can't be that easy, that there must be something the producer isn't telling them. It's very frustrating.

Let's not even get into those times when the models actually show up but turn out not to be ticklish enough. That's also very common, unfortunately.

Just as Last Laugh says here, models not showing up and not even letting you know upfront is more common than models actually showing up, and that even goes for totally harmless stuff like stock photography, when no fetish, no adult, no touching is included!

At the model-database I am registered, photographers complain all the time that the model did not show up or cancelled last minute with really weird reasons ("Oh, I forgot that it's my grandma's birthday today!"). And that is for photoshootings, often not even nudes.

Now here we are talking about the model being tied down and tickled, something she has probably not done before. I would think a lot freak out and then are afraid to contact the producer to say they are not coming. Sure it is not right, not professional, not nice - but it is human!

Thats all im trying to do, find out. She contacted me for another reason and we based it on that. But she found out I do other stuff and was highly interested in that, and we got into the 2 day chat online and on phone about all of this. So why THIS day has to be the day of no contact I cant understand. Yes I know you guys are right that this happens all the time, I just cant understand why the god's of our fetish dont protect us from this. lol. I tell most girls, go on with your life. I just need ONE hour of your time of a set day, that is all, and you can go back to whatever it is that you do AND you got some cash for that ONE hour that you "oh so had to give up in your life" Out of 23 hours in a day why is "tickling shoot hour" the one that has to be fuddled up?!?! Oh and matter of fact she has done this work before so its nothing new.

Yes she showed me her work from before and I saw it on the site. Believe me, I went thru my interview process throughly like Ive done countless times. She even gave me HER cell number before I even asked for it. So I decided this was a good thing and confimed last night for sure.

And giving cell numbers doesn't mean anything! 🙂 People sometimes are extremely enthusiastic about it and then get afraid of their own courage.

So do I, but out of 3 interviews this year (that's after the 2 dozen email replies I got a whole 3 went to interview), I got 2 screentests. One that was unusable, and one that at midnight the night before sent an email saying she can't do it. No reason. No further communication.

At least she actually called off. Just wish she woulda gave me an indication as to why.

Ain't easy having all that fun...Someone might even mistake it for a rough job.

Well the good news is Gabby showed up last night and I got to tickle her smell her "right out of sneakers with no socks" feet and do some nice foot and ass photos. Made my evening!

Well, if you assume that it won't happen, you run the risk of sabotaging yourself. With too much expectation of flake out, your language can change a bit and you can actually help the flake out to happen.

I try to keep totally neutral. Awesome if it works out, no problem if it doesn't.

Of course when it doesn't there's still disappointment. And when they just don't say anything at all about canceling, that's still rude enough to be upsetting.

All in all, you need to have thick skin to be a studio or content producer.
