Neverminding that I don't have a DS, and that I suck at GH in general, no, I would not. I get the idea, but it seems like it's just taking a huge gimmick and running with a watered-down version of the console ones.
 
It looks rubbish and as soon as i saw bands like OK GO touted as being in the set list i immediatly lost interest....how strange...

You couldnt play that in public without looking like an arse...
 
How relevant to my current affairs... I just got a DS (yesterday), and GH is probably my all time favorite video game.

That being said...

I do not have a DS, nor do I have much intention on buying one, No offense to it or anything, I do enjoy the old school Nintendo systems, I just prefer my PS3.. But.. Seriously.. I am a huge GH, RB fanatic..and I saw this on an ad on Yahoo and just had to post it.

I mean how fucking ridiculous.. and if you notice there is no orange button.. So I am curious to see how the layout of the game is going to look. I for one would not want to be caught in a public area pounding keys like a jackass.
 
And ah vun, and ah two...

Doesn't look terribly impressive, at least not as a "Guitar Hero" game...on the other hand it has great potential as the world's first "Accordion Hero" game!
 
as a gamer, i am offended by this post! i mean, WTF is Nintendo thinking?! that someone would buy that peice of crap? that someone would put that hunk of hardware anywhere near their DS?!??!?

i am ashamed and appalled.
 
I dont think I'd want to play Guitar Hero enough to buy this game.

Rock Band is better anyways😀
 
I really am interested in hearing other opinions on that what you just posted, soarhh.. Because I own both Rock Band and guitar Hero.. And I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out which Game I enjoy better.

I mean, granted..Rock band's song list? AMAZING ! And the fact that their strummer doesn't make that annoying clicky sound every. fucking. time. you. strum.. BUT.. The keys are a bit odd, and the keys DO make that click sound.

On GH..It paved the road for RB, no doubt.. The song list is decent, not HORRIBLE by anymeans.. But not utterly amazing, like RBs'. But in my opinion the set-up of the actual PLAYING aspect of GH out ranks RB.

Granted, It's dope that we can pick outfits and tattoos and all this other cool shit for our character on RB.. But the actual act of playing is what matters, and I for one like GH for that better.



So...GH or RB?

Aye. I took lessons, Gave up.. Kinda time consuming teaching a left handed person how to play. 😉
 
The learn to play a real guitar argument when it comes to Guitar hero really annoys me. I dont play it thinking i can do the real thing, I play it because its a fun game.

As for which is better I say GH only because out of my friends im the only one who really likes it so rockband becomes slightly pointless and setlist for GH i think is alot better.
 
haha, that is pretty crazy. I have yet to finish the first guitar hero myself, and I do have a DS myself, however I wouldn't get that monstrosity of a contraption for mine. That's for sure.
 
you know its funny because as much as i play my guitar, my real one (and not very well, i say once again) i don't own a single GH or RB game at all. Maybe that's because I'm on XBOX 360, not sure if they make it for that system. See how out of touch I am? I've been playing the Clancy games anyway, much bigger fan of those but I can see how kind of retarded looking that contraption is, Crystal. Not really knowing anything about the game, I probably would steer clear of it.

But I am dying to try out either GH or RB. I will suck but it looks fun as hell. A couple of our gaming friends are always raving about them both.

No, Doll...BETTER is having METALLICA on the song list.
 
Metallica stopped being cool shortly after Master of Puppets. I just can't get into any of their newer stuff for the most part.

Tool just never seems to get old for me. I guess because it has supplied the soundtrack to my personal growth over the years. =)

Tool.. is OK. Prison sex is a great song, and even better video. But they aren't as raved about as of late.
 
RB is great fun. Except the part where you have to rubber-band socks to your drum kit to make them register properly on anything past Medium. (Yeah, I think our res got one of the 'bad' sets... heh.)

GH3 is awesome for OMGWTF difficulty on the lead guitar, but RB's guitar solos come close. Both are great fun. =D

I would not buy the DS version. Do not want. At least give us the option of holding something shaped like a guitar. Plus, I'm not so sure about the sound quality on the DS...
