Back To The Hospital Yet Again

We're leaving in a few minutes. My mom is getting ready to call the ambulance. She's having a lot of stomach problems. I have no idea what the hell this is, but hopefully this time they can find out, and make her feel better.

Of course, I'll be in touch again when I can, hopefully in no more than a few days.

Mitch

Thanks, bug.

I'm sorry for not clarifying my post. My mom was just released from Lancaster General yesterday. If we go back tonight, it will be to Lancaster General again. We likely wont be going up to NJ again until her appts with the cancer drs, and scans, which hopefully will be coming up soon.

Well, at least you can be home part of the time. You must make some time for yourself, I'm sure you know that. When my brother was in the hospital he wanted me there 24/7 which was not possible. I had to work, take care of his house and animals and just have some time for me. Leaving him was not easy but I had to do it for my sanity, even if he could not understand it.

I do hope your mother will improve and not need to go back to the hospital. Edit: missed your last post. Sorry you mother is going back to the hospital. My best to you both.

We went to the hospital about 430 yesterday afternoon.

Last night, my mom finally agreed to do what is called a VQ Study, to look for a clot in her lungs. Thank God, that came back negative, with no evidence of a clot. She has a badly upset stomach, and her breathing is labored.

She was admitted to what is called the Outpatient Observation Unit, probably because she has been there so much lately. What happens in that unit is that they "Observe you" for up to 72 hours I believe, and then transfer you to a longer term room in the hospital or release you.

I probably wont be home Friday or Saturday unless shes released.

So, thats the update. Yes, I know I must make time for myself, which is why i come home for a few hours every couple of days, to have some time away.

Thanks again for the support.

Mitch

Been wrapped up in moving preps. So, I'm just seeing this now. Prayers continue as always!
