Bad news.

My father has passed away at the age of 68. It's sad, but we all have to go sometime. I suspect his heart was the cause, since he was having problems with it. But he was also in very frail health, and even if he made it through, he would've had to live in a nursing home. Not a good place to be.

The shock is still hitting me, and the tears are starting to flow. At least, though, he lived a good life, and he had me there for him, and the last words I said to him were 'I love you.' So he died a happy person.

His name was Robert also....

I'm going to take the high road and say he's in a much better place and he certainly isn't in any more pain.

You never get over the loss, you eventually learn how to live through it.
