Barefoot Girls for Charity

I like events like this. All foot fetishism aside it looks like a lot of fun. 🙂 Thanks for the post. I'll be sure to make sure all of my friends contribute to this thread the week of the 5th 🙂
 
In honor of their promise to go barefoot on April 5, we have barefoot pics of Demi Moore, Heather Graham, Kristen Bell, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and Olivia Wilde.
 
Just three more days until "One Day Without Shoes" on April 5. Some of the people who took part last year are posting barefoot pictures to encourage others to participate.
 
The women of the PGA Tour Wives Assn. went barefoot for One Day Without Shoes. The barefoot girls of Sigma Tau Gamma at East Central University also supported the event.

Heather Morris from Glee stated that she would be going barefoot as well.

Some girls supported One Day Without Shoes by Barefoot Blogging. One girl wrote:

My toes are freezing (but I’ve got heat to warm them up).
The sidewalk was uncomfortable to walk on thanks to the major storm last night (but I’m walking on pavement not mud and rocks).
Yet this is just one day.
I have given up shoes for one day yet there are millions across the globe who spend their lives longing for a pair of shoes. Who would give anything for one day WITH shoes. Not only do they go without shoes, but without electricity and often clean water.
My two feet are nothing special but when combined with those of others across the country it makes a difference. I love looking out of my office window to see students walking across the quad with no shoes. Every pair of feet make a difference.
 
National Barefoot Week, June 1-7, 2011

Soles4Souls, the international shoe charity dedicated to providing shoes to people in need, will sponsor National Barefoot Week June 1-7, 2011. The week begins with National Barefoot Day on Wednesday, June 1. The charity is asking Americans to choose one day during the week to go barefoot--at the office, at school or in public-- to raise awareness for the millions of people worldwide who live in extreme poverty and can’t afford shoes.

Celebrities are lending their support of Barefoot Week, including Sarah Jessica Parker, the Kardashian sisters, Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chelsea Handler, and others.

The American Association for Nude Recreation is celebrating National Barefoot Week with a fundraising campaign called "Bare From the Toes Up!"
