I was listening to NPR broadcasting the BBC's 'News of the World' this morning at 10:45 CST and heard a man talking to the tickle spa owner (the one in Spain).
The segment then went on to a laughter coach who talked about laughter relieving tension and how tickling, if not detested by the 'lee, is beneficial and generally makes people happier.
At the end of the segment, she asked if the interviewer was ticklish. He said, "Ooh, I was expecting something like this; all right, then." He chortled for about 10 seconds and then said, "yes, yes I feel like a happier person already." The entire segment was about 5 minutes long and looked at tickling in a very positive light.
If you're in the Mountain or Pacific time zones of the USA, check your NPR listings. Or, if it's broadcast on TV, PBS will carry BBC World News as well. 🙂
