Being tickled into "sub-space".

I've heard of this phenomenon a couple of times, but have yet to have direct experience of it. I gather it's a particularly "spaced-out" sensation caused by particularly powerful tickle-play over a protracted period of time.

Now I know there are a few people on here with direct experience of this so I'd like very much to hear from you. What caused it? How did it feel? What happened? What are the best things a ler can do in such a situation for the care of the lee?

I don't do nude tickling, but thanks for the offer. I'm also in England which also probably makes things difficult. I'd also advise you against making such bold approaches to guys you don't know. Even when only intending to "cyber", it can give some people a very wrong impression and cause you all amounts of hassle. Just a little friendly advice, I don't mean to be patronising.

I've had this happen a couple of times, my first play party and a couple of times playing with friends. I think the first time, it was a combo of not eating enough, struggling too hard in the restraints, plus my elbow was still healing from the stitches. I think I scared the aftercare gang a little, who kept coming in giving massages, making sure I was ok, etc. to bring me back from the dead. 3 hours after my scene I was still shaking but the friends helped out a LOT!

I think the private session freakouts (that's that's sort of like what it feels like) had some to do with not enough food and just being kind of emotional at the time. For me, I just shut down, I don't feel anything but it was a little bizarre for the mates (it comes on w/in a matter of seconds)If you've ever seen those movies where the kids get catatonic, they just sit there and rock, no sound, no emotion, no words. It is very intense. For me, it might just be my lack of experience. It felt a little like panic, a little numbness, a little shock. Thank goodness it's only happened like 2% of all of times I've played. I know once, the guy just wasn't that great at it~he'd stay too long on one area, and it started to get sore. Being so sensitive, I think I just overloaded.

During a recent tickling experience I think the lee started to go into it. It was because if a bet we had and when I saw her spacing out slightly, I let her out of the straps.

Well we had a "game" of sorts. We had a quiz with right answers deducting time from the total and wrong ones adding it. At the end she had to endure the remaining time without a safeword. This time ended up being fifty six minutes, which I was never going to actually go through with, but it was fun pretending. 😉 Her words were "bring it on bitch!" lol

After thirty two minutes I stopped and let her up with some of the aforementioned "taking care of" techniques you mentioned above. Her responses were slowing down and her eyes had become a tad glazed. She was still breathing okay (probably TOO well- lol), I wasn't that much of a bastard; but it's definately the most dom I've ever been on a lee in one go. I tickle for several hours straight, but this was super-concentrated torture of the worst/best kind I could conjure. I quite literally threw everything I had at her at top speed and with full effort. Bloody tiring I can tell you!

Anyway, it reminded me strongly of things I'd heard Jen, Ray, Ann and others talk about, so I wanted to bring it up. 🙂

Welcome to the TMF, Nancy! What an incredible offer! I think Big Jim brings up an excellent situation. First off, I have heard the state of 'subspace' bantered about in the BDSM community for years. I've heard women (submissives) define it as a state whereby nothing else matters, and that it is a very warm feeling, almost indescribable. In order to learn more about subspace and tickling, naturally we have to define the term 'subspace'. There are so many versions of this. I would like to see any submissives or 'lees within the forum give their definition. I've been searching for an 'end all' meaning for quite some time. As a Dom, we of course might have trouble understanding what it is without ever being able to reach that state. This should be an excellent thread!

I never leave the TMF alone, even if I don't post a lot. Things have been quite busy on the UKTF lately, but I always keep an eye in here.

I don't know how to define it really JB, as I've no experience of it from either side. Perhaps there is no single definition, especially when there are so many practices of "sensation" within the BDSM community, including our own. I'd certainly like to hear from those who have experienced it and induced it. 🙂

Jimbo. I have been there and franky words do not do it justice to explain the feeling other than somewhat of an "out of body" type sensation. Or maybe one of being in another.....dimension???
What it took to get me there was prolonged, non-stop tickling.
(I have, as the tickler, also, taken lees' to this state of being)
The care for the lee is being alert to the lees physical read out.
Affectionate type caring and treatment afterwards would help. Beverage NON Alch. preferably. Soft gentle massage and conversation would also be nice. There is more and I am sure it will be touched upon.

I suggest all should visit this place.

Lack of food. Pulling hard on restraints and after effects/pain in the elbo from stitches I doubt was the feeling of subspace my dear steph! Sounds there like a rather negative experience than that of subspace which is supposed to be a rather positive one. Good thing you had friends there too in that case especially. I think it was the Pain that took you to a body shut down/overload.

Try again when you are 100% with more comfortable restraint and prolonged tickling without any.....injury recovery status, being involved. lol 😉

I have been tickled into subspace on several occasions, when I've had joint sessions with Mistresses Zara and Kassandra. It is a kind of letting go, giving up all resistance and going with the tickling, going into a world of your own, where nothing exists except your body and its sensations.

I found it to be a wonderful experience. When they stop tickling me (after about 45 minutes on the frist occasion, but it only took half an hour later times), I just needed to drink lots of water and be hugged for a bit.

I was tickled once to the brink of sub-space...I saw stars afterwards, maybe I was in sub-space but I don't think soo...
I was tickled by 2 very skilled ladies that got be good for ummm well over an hour I think.
I was taken out of bondage and I remember having this dizzy feeling in my head and I saw stars all over the place.
That was actually a lot of fun, I really "let go" of myself and let the sensations take me away.

i have a good experience of this.
i have a friend who is a lee and she has reached this sub-space point on several occasions.
if she is tied and tickled in different places eg neck underarms belly it can take a good 45 minutes to an hour to "go floppy" as she calls it. this is when her senses shut down and it is like she is out of her body. she also called it an amazing release.
we experimented with this, as although she is really ticklish everywhere, her feet are ten fold more ticklish than everywhere else on her body.
she was tied into stocks and her feet tickled until she reached the point of sub space. surprisingly this took no more than three minutes, during which time she said she could see stars before her eyes and her laughing was totally out of control. at the end she could only put the feeling down to a rush of endorphins in the system due to the brain saying thats enough. she described the feeling as totally euphoric and amazing... and has asked to do this several times since. hope this has been of help and interest. j.j.
