I love pro wrestling, I just hate the way the indastry is, and has been run. Until things are different I will not support it, because I don't agree with the way managment treats it's workers like high priced cattle. One dies, well we'll spike our tv raitings with a tribute show, and then bring in another side of beef from the field. Not my personal view of them, but it's how management sees them, and it is a bad policy too. You build a guy up to a superstar only to have him die from a heart attack because he is using pain killers just so he can go out to the ring an agravait an enjury so he will need to take even more pain killers? But you keep watch, so the raiting are still there, so the advertisers are still there, so the profit is still there so Vince just doesn't give a shit.
Look at the Benoit situation. He lost his mind becuase of brain damage he suffered in the ring. Damage that could have been prevented if somebody in up stairs had said "Tell Chris to block those chair shots or he is suspended for 30 day without pay." Trust me, 30 days with out pay would have set him straight. Unfortunelty the bosses were to buisy watching his T-Shirt sell and not what he was doing in the ring. However if wrestling had a Union a shop stuart would have writen him up and warned him of a fine for unsafe work practesses. There is no "Health and Safty standard in wrestling, and until there is I won't suport it as an industry with money or time. I have nothing but respect for the performers even if I don't like their politicts and even if they are over raited IMO, simply because they have the guts to go out their and perform for their fans.
