Greetings culture lovers.

What is the best photo editing software? I know Adobe and Correl(sp?) makes them. But,which version is the easiest, and or,the best to use? One main thing I wish to do is make collages.

Photoshop. It's not the most user-friendly software out there, but once you learn it, nothing's better.

Tanks,eh.

How is user support for it? Like is it easy to get any questions answered either online,or via a help center? For the most part.I am computer savvy, but sometimes I can be a wee bit daf when it comes to computers.

I don't know about tech support, but there are an infinite number of tutorials and such for Photoshop online. Just run a Google search for what you're looking for.

If cost is an issue, GIMP is also a powerful piece of software -- it gives virtually all the capabilities of PhotoShop for a $0 price tag. However, GIMP tends to sacrifice "user-friendliness"; you will need to refer to the manual often until you've got the hang of it.

Photoshop is good, but can be quite pricey. Plus, it's a bitch to learn everything. I've had to for over a year and I'm still learning.

There are freeware bootlegged versions floating around out there but you didn't hear that from me. 😉

If you have tons of money Photoshop is great but it costs like 600 bucks. A bit pricey. Get Photoshop Elements unless you have wads of cash you dont need. Costs about 70-80 dollars. Or use GIMP which is free. Or Paint Shop Pro which is about 50-75 dollars.

Thanks Kurch.🙂 The $600 is out of my league. Can you make collages with Photoshop elements?

Not sure how in depth of something you are looking for Zod, but I've made some real simple things for banners for our radio show like:

Also any of the Robace pics and most of the LXG logos you see around I made using Photoscape. Do expensive suites do more? Sure. Does this do most of the stuff I need? Yup. This one is free too.

I think you probably can but read up on it at Amazon. Photoshop Elements does like 90-95% of what Photoshop does. You might check reviews on the versions. Sometimes the newest version is not always the best.
