She was 104. Always sad to see someone pass, but I mean, she lived her life.

I read those books myself as a kid. Bezus's struggles with annoying little sister Ramona were always a treat.

And Henry Huggin's letter to kid's show host Sheriff Bob, pleading with him to speak on-air to Ramona to stop her pestering him on his paper route. And his complete amazement when Sheriff Bob intones, 'Ramona Geraldine Quimby... I see you! I see you out there in TV land!' before politely explaining to the amazed little girl over the airwaves how important is was that newspapers be delivered without Henry being harassed.

And all this was about 55 years ago!!!

Loved her so much!

I was saddened to hear about her passing. She was such a major part of my reading development. I still own several of her books.

If you all have never read her autobiography, it is interesting and amazing.
