I live 5-10 min from where the bomb exploded. I could feel the blast here where i live so it was one hell of a bomb. I know 2 so far that i knew was on that island but both survived. One got a interview in VG TV and he was almost crying at the end and that broked me down really. FUCK YOU ANDERS BREIVIK!!!!!!!!

Really, asking "if this can happen even in Scandanavia, then where else can it happen?" is redundant; these kinds of animalistic atrocities will continue to happen in all of the places that they were happening before they started hitting Scandanavia, and they will continue to happen for as long as Europe refuses to recognise the problems it has with fascists, nationalists and racists in it's midst.

Let me rephrase that for you then; it makes you worry about when your own family and friends are going to be the next victims. Don't get me wrong, anything like this happening to any people at all is horrible, but when it hits close to home is when you can actually feel it. Russia is close by geographically, but Norway are our neighbours and their lives are very similar to ours. Same with the other countries you mentioned, when it happens there you can (almost) think that "it doesn't have anything to do with me for now". The reactions from the norwegian police and politicans have been surprise - the chief of the police said that automatically linking these kinds of crimes to a group of people is dangerous to do, but in this case they hadn't really got their eyes on this certain group at all, it seems - which is unfortunate.
Either way, I apologize if my opinions made you annoyed or whatever, I'm merely stating how I feel about it. Let's not turn this thread into something it wasn't meant to be.

Thank you for the updates, Cavum, been glued to the TV 2 Norge broadcast all day. Apparently the asshole can get out of prison after just 14 years, which is beyond atrocious.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Norwegian people. Any terrorist act by anyone towards anyone is cowardly and heinous.

The Officials will have to find out who is responsible. Our Oklahoma City bombing was done by a disgruntled former US serviceman.

Yeah he was Norwegian. A right winged Norwegian. But even the right winged people are shocked that he acculy attacked his own people. This is just so fucked up that I can't describe it. To see this happend to the places I know so well and have been to several times makes it so surreal. To think about all my good friends and co workers in Oslo and the fear of anyone of them being injured/killed. When the bomb went off I saw on facebook that alot of my friends from oslo was updating theyre statuses with stuff like "WTF was that?", "OMG that was loud!", "I think there is thunder right over my house" etc etc....and minutes later see what happend on the news. I was terrified that something had happend to roxita. I knew she was in downtown in Oslo and when I called her she didn't awnser the phone. I called and called but no awnser... But Im so glad when I she called me back short time after. This is all just so surreal. When the shooting at Utøya started several friends of mine was updating theyre facebook with "Don't call XXX, he/she is hiding from the shooter!". Im so glad that all my friends, family and co workers in Oslo are OK, but my thoughts go to the the dead, the injured and theyre close ones....

This has to be one of the most horrific series of events I've seen in awhile. The planning that went into orchestrating the whole thing is sick. My prayers go out to everyone affected by this tragedy 🙁
