Boob Preference: Real, Fake or Don't Care?

I've never been much of a boob guy but, I am picky over certain shapes and stuff. I prefer breasts to look like they match the size of the body they are own. Big boobs aren't a turn-on but, not exactly a turn-off either unless it makes a woman look top heavy. Just round and firm is good or even flat chested is exceptable but, the real turn-offs are the pointy and saggy types. I must admit that implants do sometime look very nice because they are self supporting but, there are a few natural types that are near and even on that same level.

Mine are real but if I could afford surgery I would have them reduced. Anyway, if I could afford surgery I'd have loads dont to me, there's always room for improvement. I have some friends who had boob jobs and some look nice, some don't. Surgery does seem to increase a girls confidence.

Ill pay you not to have them reduced.

I liked this comment a lot. Way back in my very skinny days I wore a 36 A, impossible to find a bra! I gained some weight, lost most of it, now am a 40D and that sucks too. Girls are mean ("nice implants" I got from one dumbass at the grocery store, snickering to her boyfriend who was obviously staring at them) and guys say the stupidest things. I was at the local pub with a friend who was talking to some idiot. I'd ran into an old pal and was so excited to share the news with her. I ran up to her and said "Annie~you'll never guess what!" This tool, who I've never seen in my life said, "Ummmmmmm, your boobs are too big for your body and you're about to fall over?" (I was VERY fully dressed, in blue leather pants and an oatmeal colored turtleneck cable sweater~no cleavage showing at all.) I glared at him, grabbed her hand, yanking her away from him and said, "Can I SEE you for a minute?" I was livid!

Oh and on a side note, finding stuff that fits well and looks good when you're busty sucks. Those cute sexy little tops that smaller girls can pull off? Forget about it.

As a straight man, I'm going to shock some of you by going off on a rant here. First of all, I have nothing against cosmetic surgery (for men as well as women), as long as it's not overdone. Having said that, I'll never understand why fake body parts, especially breasts, are so appealing to so many men (and some women). To me, the unrealistic standard of beauty our society and the media imposes on women (men too, but women are much more affected by it) is part of the reason behind that "fake" appeal. It's why so many women starve themselves until they look like living skeletons. Inner beauty is much more important to me. That's not to say that I don't pay attention to looks and hygiene, of course, and I will compliment a woman if I think she looks good, even if she isn't 100% real. But when it comes to real breasts vs. fake breasts (and other body parts), I'll take the real ones, thank you very much. End of rant.

Oh GOD do I hear you there! I'm a triple D cup, and you'd think that being fat would mean clothes in my size would allow for ample breast room. NOT SO! Apparently many clothing manufacturers are under the belief that fat girls have small boobies, cause I have SUCH trouble finding things to fit my bust. Waist? No problem. Hips? No problem. Arms and shoulders? No problem. Boobs? No way. Fabric stretched to the max, buttons pulling at their last thread, people afraid to stand within 10 feet of me knowing at any moment the shirt is gonna blow. *sigh* And we won't even get into how hard it is to find sexy bras when you're uber busty. I am NOT stuffing these funbags into a granny bra! It's an area that clearly needs attention in the clothing industry!

Back to topic, it seems the general consensus is usually that fake are unattractive, and real are best. So why do so many women go through with this procedure, when the majority truly seem to prefer what God gave them naturally?

A doctor friend of mine recently paid to have his wife get implants. He says "they look great but they feel like shit."

And only in US is the ridiculous 103 lb bimbo with D-cups considered a desireable look. In Europe, they think they're a joke, that they look like cartoon characters.

PS~Oh and yanno what Meems? I recently read a study about how many implant patients go on to commit suicide. Why? Because the dumbasses finally figure out the real secret about being beautiful too late in the game:confidence really does come from inside you. No surgical procedure can give you that FOR you....

Yeah, 'the grass is always greener' is pretty much what I was saying too. The majority of people aren't happy with their body, no matter how they look. They always think it should be at least a little different.

I think this sorta links back to the other thread, about the guy who thought this girl had attractive feet but wasn't attractive herself. Society tells you what beautiful is, and how you should look, and eventually you believe it so much that it seems like it's natural. It makes girls (and guys too in a lot of cases) uncomfortable with themselves, makes them feel that they need to change to look like everyone else.

In my personal opinion, a girl who is content with 'what God gave her' is more attractive than any super model.

Honestly, I think it's because people <i>say</i> one thing and do another.

Men and women know what physical look(s) gets more attention and approbation from others. They just know it by real-world experience, not words. It's clear that advertisers also know what more people prefer appearance-wise. Looks matter. And that's not based on guesswork; it's simple market research.

Still, I think everyone prefers real <i>ideally</i>, but what's not being said is that they prefer a version of "real" that actually looks good to them. That can vary from person-to person, but, on average, "real" when it comes to breast size in the U.S., implies normal-looking (or better) and well-proportioned (if not bigger). That ideal generally doesn't account for things like age, gravity, wrinkles, post-breastfeeding effects, asymmetries, mastectomies, etc.

Besides, IMHO, there's no way I think less of a woman for getting implants and not do the same for a woman who wears a padded or push-up bra to achieve the same effect. Similarly, I couldn't criticize a woman for getting a botox injection and not criticize another woman for putting on coats of make-up everyday to get the same results there.
