I have recently had a horrible break up with a bf, and been doing the typical female thing by wallowing with a tub of ice cream and listening to appropriate songs.

the best break up song i found so far is that Frankee F.U.R.B (even tho i hate that song! lol)

The only one I can think of is a pretty old one: "Heartbreaker" by Dionne Warwick. I've always liked this song. While sad, I have always considered it a great song.

The saddest (and ultimately best IMO) breakup song is the old country ballad "For the good times" by Billy Jo Spears. It brings out the tears which, with time, can heal wounds. I have the lyrics somewhere, if I can find it, I'll post it.

Break-ups are sad, but often they mark a new beginning. Chin up!

I'm so sorry about your break up, TickleMeCasey. I've been through that before and it's never easy. If you want to let out all the hurt and have a good cry, try listening to "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" by The Bee Gees and then Al Green's version of that song back to back. Throw in Stevie Wonder's "All In Love Is Fair" and you'll need to take your carpet outside into the sunshine to let it dry.
